Hello everyone, This is my first visit to the website and how ever much i like the idea of the site it seems pritty ineffective in ways....

The hackers list does not seem to be update regually and also has no eefective way of being applied to a server. Would it not make more sence to have the list so it can be copied and pasted straight to server files so that the server admins do not have to spend hours copying the individual details?
Also if you check the google site they offer online databases which you can inserty into a webpage, this would be a much better way to implement a list of bans from a visual side.

Another thing. Swat happens to be a dying game, the community is small and getting smaller by the week. it used to take several minutes to get the swat server lists up ingame which now takes about 10 seconds. So surely if the game is going down hill which no one can argue that it isnt do you ban people from posting website addresses for their community sites?
10-david used to give everyone a central community of swat gamers and since the website has fallen it is pritty fair to say that the gap has not been fillled by anyone site but by a number of smaller sites.
If this is truley a community site for swat then why deny people from telling others of their own community sites.
I have been running our clans site since late 2006 and after having a break i am planning on placing banners for all of the community sites on our site.

if this truley is a "fair play" alliance then you should be promoting a community as well as not cheating.

If your not wanting to Join here because you have Dirt on Some Clan currently here - I'd love to see it, otherwise it makes no sense to have More than 1 Community Site IMO.

Well its kind of obvious that swat is a dying game... go to any set of shops and try and buy it :p i had to go into 5 different game shops (not small ones either) to find the game when i broke my disk!

Your argument is like saying the UK should joined the EU and live by every law that Brussels makes! or that MAC users should be forced to use windows....

All I'm saying is that you should not be hiding the fact that there are other sites out there!

I also never mentioned any of the clans on the site hacking ;)

We have a selfmade db, but it needs to be added the list is just temporary ...

No one is banned for placing advertisings ...
This is not a advertise site, there are plenty of that online try looking there ...
This isn't a normal community for chitchat, we deal in bad players, cheaters, hackers and also bad clans from time to time ...
Also the fact that swat is dying can mean a couple things ...

1. Most clans go down after 1 year ...
2. Not all clans that exicst in swat 4 has a server up ...
3. The servers that are up are most of the times full ...
4. Maybe the game wasn't there anymore because it sold good, and as they don't make new ones, it's always hard to find a new game, if they are easy to find means no one bought them ...

the more sites we know about the more sites know about fpa? there is only one fpa so why not show some love and let ppl share sites? my post wasnt deleted about swat4online? i didnt get a chance to see what the site above was so i cant say it was good or bad. just my blabs! LOL

I will add that I heard that Swat was dying a year or so ago.....Someone says it each year..

What we are seeing is growth in ppl from different regions not usually associated with the game....Carribeen, Pacific Region, & South American etc..

What we do have is evolution in the game both in who enjoys playing it and the Game play, particularly in VIP mode.

As Wes says the FPA was set up to deal with & share info on a range of Violations by ppl....By any standard it is a success....

Moreover I remember a similar venture a few years ago which collasped, wholly in my view, through lack of participation....NOT so here.

Just check out the Clans who are affilated to the FPA....

want to add that cheaters list (http://www.fp-alliance.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119) and tag stealers list (http://www.fp-alliance.com/forum/showthread.php?t=78) are updated as fast as the report is confirmed, also we dont work here 24/7 so excuse us if its not updated 5 seconds after the post is created .....

the lists are also in use and will be till the db is created and put online with admin bots, we cannot force anyone to use it but everyone is free to view and compare names, ips, claims and take any action needed if reported player is spotted on a server - so if you dont like it you dont have to use it but dont tell that is useless as you cannot speak in the name of others...

Torq let's be honest here we always hear BS about things for example SWAT 4 is dying, SWAT 5 is being released etc so why do we listen to hearsay? If I say that "I heard Ronaldinho is going to Arsenal FC for Free" would people believe that? I know your like me and want Proof =] and I'm sure others are the same.

As for Smoke you know |ELITE| and {BLKWTCH} have been mates for a long long time and as a friend I'm telling you the FPA is definatly more than just some clans who hate cheaters, we are definatly a community.

I've noticed that bonds with some clans and |ELITE| have definatly got stronger and the fact that we all contact each other regularly about issues is fantastic to just being banned and thinking "wtf have I done?!"

Besides SWAT 4 is a 5 year old game (I think) so obviously it wont be as popular as, let's say, Call Of Duty: World at War because that is pretty much a fresh new game.

All I can say is SWAT 4 is a classic and those of us who still play are still a very big community.

Ok now that i did not know :) if you re read my original post i mentioned other ways which a list could be created... the use of an online spread sheet or data base. I've used them for sports websites before and found them very usefull.
The reason i said the way it was run was ineffiecnet was the list, it was not laid out for a straight copy and paste....

This does state you accuse some of us of cheating, so i understand the confusing of woner ...
I am not accusing anyone of cheating on here... obviously english cant be your first language but what i ment by my comment was that theres more to fair play than not cheating... fair play is about the comming together of a community in a friendly trusting society. cheating is only a small part of this.

I would of thought anyone would want to help unite people....

You cant really say that swat 4 isn't becoming a smaller community. of course it will be a game this old on an old game engine with no support from the developers of course it will slow down...
IMO the biggest thing to happen to the game would of been the TakeDown mod but look what happened there :p

The reason i mentioned slow updates on the list was when i looked the last update was over 10 days before... obviously this would of had a number of reasons but it was another reason i mentioned having the spreadsheet.

As another idea which i hope doesnt get more negative advances, a RSS feed on the site would be a good idea, if there was one central website which could have all of the sites linked so clans could use one RSS feed to update all of their members through their own clan websites...
