Um, it depends on the number of players really, but there's people offering servers 1 pound for 1 slot, so if we get 50 slots then its 50 pounds,

English pounds of course,

also those are UK Based servers, and you will have to get ranked and unranked servers to choose from, for me i prefer unranked really they're cheaper and i don't really see the point of ranked severs,

i doubt that BF servers can be hosted on home computers as they need large upload speed and CPU Usage,

Yes agreed. I think if we struggle in SWAT4 with new servers, we arent ready for the BF2 sadly.

I appreciate your effords in this, mate, but I'm actually not even sure the "crowd" for BF2 is around any longer either.

I mean, most of the people you mention left SOG a while back. Majid is still here, but it's been a long time since we've heard from him ( :( ) and in general, those of us who play BF2 doesn't seem to count that high numbers.

And with us strugling to keep our SWAT4 servers afloat, I sadly don't think it's possible. And Wes puts up a good point too ; most people in BF already have a favourite server.

I think it's a good idea, and as we all know - if everything was cheap, this world would be a better place - but I don't think it's worth the cost or efford currently :(

lol wes, :lol: i never said i would even try. And order recieved loud and clear mate. Fact is people have always been more interested in swat 4. Thats ok with me however the swat 4 public recruiting will be challenging enough in my opinion. Its just bf2 was always fun when in a good team. Like being part of an army when no chits wer spoiling it. ;)

BF2 is a good game but what bothers me so much is that ppl wont die after you shot like 900 bullets at him :lol: oh yes the loading time is also such a pain in the :assshake:

I'd just mainly be interested in playing with you guys. Getting a big, well organised team on Battlefield I imagine could be the most fun I've had in ages. You're all fairly organised thanks to SWAT4 and if you all designated specific talents such as jet fighters and helicopter pilots then that could be really fun. But for that level you'd need at least 10 players who are willing to really listen to each other.

yeah mate thats what my idea was when i made this thread, bf2 is a great tactical game... And with our team of members we could of really seen some fantastic gameplay there. Bt like matt, wes, nico have all stated. Its either too costy or not enough are interested to play it, or too many cheater's (that was wes :D ) or we have enough going on with swat for and the newly aqainted tss server. Maybe in the future if it gets enough attention il consider paying for a server for bf2 and see how it goes. Thats a big maybe tho coz like wesley said no point paying money and having a semi used/empty server. ;)

To be honest you wouldn't need a server just for SOG, I mean there are tonnes of empty servers on BF2. You can survive on your own on BF2, but working as a team, even with 2 of you is so much more fun.

I luved to play this game, but i stopped, because it´s much more fun to play with teammates.
If we fix date(s) and time(s) i´d be on it.
And it´s already fun to just play with 6 SOG members in a squad.
I don´t think an SOG own server is needed for that.

If you do use voice communication I recommend using our TS or using the VOIP system in BF2, as Xfire isn't that stable I don't think. I haven't played BF2 in a while.

im a big fan of BF 2, but i like tactical squad action so i only play with people i know. i used to play back with some xTGFx memebers. we used to make a squad etc. if some of us SOG could go online that would be cool. i remember once when my xTGFx squad won the most effective squad award at the end of the map. im sure us at SOG would own most of the time ;)

i just reinstalled bf2 today and i love it again =D
