Hi again
Back when Shoutbox 2.0 was made, I remember Matt mentioning something about shouts automatically pruning themselves after 3 hours, making pruning unnessacary, and something about the shoutbox only being updated when there was something to update (i.e. new shout or an edit), rather than updating all the time.
The later statement brings me to thinking ; If the shoutbox doesn't constantly load, do we then need the (slightly annoying) auto-idle feature? :)
I don't know if it still serves some purpose, but if we could be rid of it, I'd be happy :D Of course, if it does have some kind of intention, it should probably remain.
I guess Matt would know this best? :)
