Ok everyone another feedback thread :)
As you may have noticed, we have made some notable improvements to the site with plenty more to come.
So please tell us what you think on the following reminder of additons:
- New notifications manager ; including info of your PMS, Vistor messages etc
- New Profiles
- New FPA site now on SOG
- New Banner (courtesy of Majid)
- Style Selections change
What do you think on the proposals for improvement on our radar?
- New blue theme
- Xfire sig added to profile pages
- Addition of Tv & Radio mod; add your favourite stations for everyone to browse & tune in to & upload videos for everyone to view!
Your feedback, ideas & info is appreciated!

Certainly alot of noticable, and great improvements to the site, lately. :)
I've taken the time to write down some throughrouhg feedback - hope it's useable. ;)
Suggestions are in white, everything else is like a baromether
Notification Manager
The new notification manager is heavensent with the new features! It seems to work brilliantly, and it's very pleasant to use.
Is it possible to add a "new posts" line to the notifier, so that it automatically displays the number of new posts. And on that same note, is it possible to make it auto update, independent of site, so that it would update, i.e. every 5 minutes.

Profiles
The new profiles adds a whole nother element to our community, and as I stated when they were made, they seem to promote user-to-user relation, which is always a good thing. I especially like that they're customisable, making you want to put in some efford to make it YOUR profile.

FPA site
FPA site - I think it takes some getting used to - as of now I'm finding it confusing. I think maybe it should be completely integrated into SOG (i.e. same layout, same "New Posts" etc.) Simply just to ease the navigation. Reasoning ;
Sog home => New posts => link to FPA board thread => sog home => new posts seems along way to go to get back where you started, if you will. I think it would be easier to manage and navigate, if it was added as a regular part of SOG forums. Although I think alot of the VERY nice features from it (i.e. the notification manager, and the icons and such) could be implemented forum wide in return

Banners
The new banner looks great, it's edgy design make it different and makes it stand out more, making it more interesting to look at. And as always, quality and filesize are great. :)
Under this chapter, I'd suggest giving this site a minor make over, with some new graphics on e.g. controls, rulers, frames, backgrounds, shoutbox bg, etc. Dress it all up a little. I'd happily assist where possible

Blue (smurf) theme
I don't mind the blue theme not being available any longer, as I never used it, but I'm finding it good that users of the previous blue theme will recieve a replacement.
I think the new blue theme is a good idea, especially if we could implement it in a way that makes upgrading the site accross themes easier and maintain the same functionality. One bad thing though, is that some posters, like myself, like to use colours to clarify a post and highlight sections for those too busy to read all of it. I think it's important to be considered that colours such as Lime and Red will be just as visible on the blue theme, as they're used alot, apart from white. Also consider disabling colours that wont show up right on either theme.

XFire profiles
The Xfire sig re-addition was my suggestion, so naturally I feel great about it :D No, seriously, we had them in the old profiles - great. They were especially handy as they linked to the profile, and not to make friends, such as the minibanners under our avatar does. Hence they were great for quick access to a players details. Simply making the xfire username a link to their profile will do as well though. Up to you, how much work you think it deserves.

TV and Radio
At first glance, this TV&radio sounds like it'd be a confusing thing, with users channels from around the world, but I also see the potential of expanding all of our horizons into the world where other users live and such, and I think that it would provide something more for users to get together about, so I'm all for trying it. I think it needs a language restriction though :)

One concern though, is the ever increasing content on the site causing the general speed of the site to be slower. Although the site has been alot faster lately than usual. :) Was it ever looked into, what I suggested about auto-restarting the services on the server ? If that can ease off the load enough to support all these new features without sacrificing too much speed, it all sounds good, but if we'll see a slow site, I'd rather be without them. :) As I told you, I've got no problem hosting some of the site content, if need be. :)

i say like him, i still wants to see the name of the new threaths but when i click on it i com eot FPA :)
And if its possible, every time you make a new threat in the report forum, then the "Standardized Report Post" will be there whitout any Copy and paste

The new profile features are a nice addition.
I know that some want full integration of the FPA site into this one. I don't find it confusing, though in order to see new posts in the FPA site I'd have to click on Today's Post or New Posts. It's a minor workaround but I'm not complaining.

There's so many updates I haven't got the time to check them all out yet :)
The new banner is great (gj Majid :) ) but I do think it's a little bright. When I first refreshed this page from the previous banner the big blue patch in the middle jumped out at me... nearly scared me :) I would just make the sky a little darker or something so it doesn't jump out as much.
The TV and Radio looks like a cool feature. I've always wanted to watch TV on my computer :)
The notification system is great too. However, I think the only notification that I really check is the Unread Private Messages. I'm not too interesting in 'Unread Picture Comments' or 'Group Messages Awaiting Approval' if you know what I mean.
But overall, great work on this site Matt. It's looking better and better every time I refresh :)

Seriously, I like the new updates, including the new banner. :) About the new style, not sure if i'd use it or not, have to wait and see.
Not sure if I'll like the Radio/TV option or not, depends on the simplicity of it, and as Nico stated, if it doesn't cause the site to slow down because it's using alot of bandwidth, etc..
Xfire in Profile? Yes bring it back please, I'm missing the easiest way to see if someone is on Xfire without being logged in, or to see if I have a certain person on my xfire list yet :)
The new banner sticks out like a sore thumb :D the old one looks much better.

This is actually a very good idea - and possible, at least in most coding formats. Dunno if it's possible through vBulletin though ?
If it's going to be added, please make a thread on it in the HM board or something, Matt, so we can provide opinions on what should be there, etc. Just so nothing is left out, and to make sure it's a good formatted standardized thing (if it's default, we're gonna see it alot - might as well be pretty ;) )
The coolest thing ever, as I suggested once before I knew the limitations of vB, would IMHO still be a form field where you enter everything, and then the forum itself titles and creates the report, then posts a Thank You for Report message, closes thread, adds to DB, and be done with it :p But then I came back to reality :D

You're right perhaps, but consider it also needs to work with the new blue theme, without looking like a black hole :D

Not sure if that is possible without a modification being made for the specific forum so when the user clicks on "New Thread" in that forum, the report form is already there to be filled out.
As far as I know VB doesn't have an option to have the site enter certain text when the user starts a new thread, there might be a mod for it.
It is a good idea though, and I'm sure that if Matt knows how to make it happen it'll get done, or maybe we can find who might know and get help with it. :)
I wanted to make the banner a little different and also slightly brighter but i will try after a while to make it a little warn out or darker sky as suggested :)

Actually IĻm beginning to notice odd errors.
Sometime when having FPA open in another tab, pressing F5 on the SOG forum index will generate the index, with the radio and all, but in FPA theme. The same error occurs at times when on SOG home and clicking New posts. :s
Dunno what's causing it though, it appears very random... :)

Ok i have a question. What happened to the noticable "New posts" thing? i thought we changed it so you could tell better when there is a new posts. (by the way, I'm talking about the things on the left that change) I dunno when it happened, because I haven't been here much... I just liked it better when I could tell if there was a new post... Maybe it's already been mentioned/asked but how do I get it back to where it is easier to tell if there are new posts?

Yeah, I was wondering about that as well, liked it when the blue showed up for new posts, that might have gotten switched with the 3.7 upgrade.

What are we referring to here? I dont quite follow. I thought you meant the graphics next to each forum which would change if new posts were made in those forums, but it appears thats working fine.
@Blizzard / Nicoleise / TC ..... The standarized report system is something easily done with a quick modification. Ive done it before at the forums for different things, and it would be a great thing to implement. I will work on doing so
@Nicoleise... You get those style errors because your now an admin with access to the admin cp. Other members below GC wont see those problems.
