been a while since i played, so i'll just roadkill for a hell of along time while i get my aim back, but i remembered it was usually a good laugh playing with vette and having some quality crashes with me trying to be a pilot......

Yes it was me, the main reason is i hate spawncamping and that game is a spawncamping game, i don't like the idea when you just respawn you get nailed with a shell of a tank, and that the whole round.

lol yeah, i definately agree with you on that one, at least with infantry only its more of an open playing field. even though theres guys there who probably play 20 hours a day, at least they dont have a tank to help hunt you down.

I like vehicles because I hate to walk around :( ... if you want an infantry only map go on coop mode and play against the AI, at least they can't scream at you through the in game chat and call you a loser :p

Played it briefly, but got very bored, really quick. As Trin points out, to many people interested in nothing but themselves, therefore absolutely NO team playing going on. Waste of time.

Yea that was really fun Ace!
I'm only playing BF2 on the servers of IBC.. for some strange reason :D
But, because most of the players who play there, play very often on that same server, they do team up and play like a team. And thats why i keep playing it online ;)

And offcourse its even more fun when people you know join too ;) like pinu and Ace :lol:

I love the game :D. Though unlocks are stupidly hard to get and once you get them they can be disssapointing considering the work that was involved. 2142 is much better for teamwork and unlocks.

Tried it again a few times. Well, very frustrating, but i guess you know what i'm trying not to say right now :P

The main thing i didnt like in the last games was the fast respawn times of heavy vehicles i think.

Karkand infantry only is one of the most spammy things out there. I kept trying to move slowly and use cover, but always some sniper appeared out of the nowhere, someone spawned somewhere (the flags are WAAAAY too close to each other), some grenade went off or some 1337 uber player with his super duper FN 2000 kills me without giving my M16 a chance.

And thats the problem. In a real firefight you dont run around like crazy. You use suppressive fire, flanking, smoke screens etc and a fight might last quite a few minutes until someone goes down.

Did you try to suppress someone with a SAW in BF2? They just dont care that you're shooting at them.

Try Americas Army with a good team, and you'll know excactly what Spec is talking about. :)

When I had the AA clan, we used to care a great deal about tactics. I.e. we would play a map where there'd be 2 paths to get into position to shoot us. One path was constantly suppressed by an M241 (SAW) gunner, leading the enemy to run straight towards our sniper for ideal shots. The sniper location was then guarded by regular M16s in case someone ran past the firing view of the sniper, as well as 1 M16 to take over from the SAW, in case the SAW person would be shot.

Try that in BF2 and it wont make a drop of difference :p

That's why i like modes with a objective in it, rapid deployment, vip , HQ, , ... modes like baricaded suspect, deadmatch, teamdeathmatch , ... i don't like much, it's a all runing around like chickens with no head and shoot everything that's in sight.
