If you want to broadcast on the SOG Radio, you need to ensure that you firstly meet our following critera.

1) Be a Member at SOG
2) Be able to provide a reliable schedule for broadcast
3) Have access to a large music archive on your computer

If you do, then read on!

Sog-team need DJs to reliably broadcast a session lasting from a min of 1 hour to a max of 9 hours. In that session, sog-team adverts must be played a min of 4 times an hour (1 every 15 mins).

The DJ can choose to broadcast what they wish as long as it doesnt breech our forum & website rules. All broadcasts must be in English, however that does not include songs, even though English is also preferred there too.

Variety is also preferred rather than just one genre of music.

I agree with Ghost on the part that 20 ads an hour is overkill.

20 ads an hour= 1 ad every 3 minutes. Considering that an average song is around 4 minutes (most of mine are 6-10) then you would have to interrupt songs to provide advertising.

I would just suggest that an advertisement be played between each song, rather than just placing it in songs.

It's really simple, only takes a few minutes to install that, and depending on how many songs you have depends on how long it'll take to get songs to winamp :)

I'm slowly getting to it ... been very busy.:) On page two of this thread there's a link I posted that contains information for what you will need to broadcast, so be sure to look through that and get the necessary programs installed and running.

Tarek, if you hover over the radio icon at the top of the page / navigation bar, it will state who is broadcasting OR at the bottom of the forums index (under whos online), if the radio is online, you can see the current track and stream info.

I too would like to give this a shot, i have a wide selection of music and would like to entertain you guys (an gals) with some tunes. I work on call so i get quite a bit of time of during the days and think i could fill a void if given a shot, but i may need some help with |SOG| advertising if this compulsory as i am not sure how to insert an ad into my music as i would be using a contiuous flow with no real breaks in between tracks (they drop in from 1 to the next) so might need a hand there :) Also anytime there is no DJ online i would fill in when not busy.

Well i have spoke with the guys at work including my manager and have decided that my applying for a dj spot would not be a bad idea. I currently take my wee laptop into work and pump the music/radio from it out round the store. I have hundrerds of music and if my work mates want to hear their stuff they just add it to my ExtHD and cue it up. I really anit into any genre i will listen to anything really(excluding the Frog) as long as it aint jaggy techno/rave or hard rock/punk(slipknot etc). So instaed of just cueing up loads of varied tracks for instore why not online too :)

I have about 150Gb of music on my ExtHD which my collegues add to so it aint just 1 persons tastes and i work in a store with about 1000-2000 CD's so if i dont have it or cant find it, it aint worth it :)
