login problem

hi
i have a problem with login i type my name and my pass in but my name shows up in the ''currently active users'' box but my name the box where i must put my name and pass in is empty.

here are some shots:
as u can see my name shows up in the ''currently active users'' box but the other box on the upper right corner tells me that i am NOT login.

after i re-enter my name and my pass its tells me that i am login

i must login several times to login correctly.

This problem has been reported before, Puni :) But I don't think anyone have reported it this accurate, so Matt might make good use of it. :)

While this issue still opened, you may use another browser, like Internet Explorer (installed on every windows system) or download Opera browser (btw, I'm using it and it's fine) :)

I have requested external help on this issue as ive tried to fix this too many times with little or worse effects.

if u mark "remember me" (a cookie will be set) it will work. so it is for me (im using firefox too).

Or your cookies are messed up or the security is set to high in your browser that it won't allow cookies.
Whenever you try to login on a website a cookie will be created but when security is set too high it won't. Especialy with the IE 7+ version of Vista.

Clear your browser (Ctrl + Shift + Del) then come back again and login
but i think its already fixed...

Matt I thought you did fix this problem. The remember me button works fine for me now. But do like the others have said, and tell us if it works.

sometimes it works perfectly sometimes its won't login after i tried it several times

Puni, I normally have to login 2+ times before the login box disappears. I use IE7. Its pretty rare that my first logon actually logs on.

This problem can be avoided when you log in from the Who's Online section. I do that everytime I log in and usually it goes through the first time. By the way, I use Firefox.:)

Matt would probably be interested in knowing that Oneil, as he struggles to find the core of the problem :) It's in coding, I believe, since we are so many experiencing the problem, and across enviroments (Operating systems, browsers, system state, clearing cookies or not).

Maybe there's some difference in the coding of the log in script in the Who's online section and the regular log in, so with this info, Matt could compare the two :)
