Heya all
I came up with this idea a few weeks ago, but had to do some preparations myself. So now, I guess it'll continue the trends of "get to know eachother" threads, we got on here. Especially since all our users can't be in the cars thread. :)
This one is about stuff you like. I'd like it alot if everybody could post pictures of the stuff they talk about. It may be a googled pic of something you have, or it may be one you take yourself. As long as you complement with a picture.
Please keep the pictures no wider than 750 pixels, and below 100 KB in file size. If this is not possible, please LINK to the pictures, rather than posting them with IMG tags. Thank you.
To make it clear, only post stuff you actually own, and like on here. You're welcome to fill us in on some details. Only actual things is allowed. Not pets, sisters, girlfriends, etc. And not cars either, as we have a thread for that. So in general, everything that don't have a pulse, and isn't burried either. :)

I'll go first then ;
I'm a big fan of home cinemas. So naturally, I worked my behind off, to get the money to have one. Now I do, and I'm very happy with it.
It's a 7 channel (plus subwoofer) home cinema with Dolby Digital, DTS, vMax and various other decodings.
My reciever/amplifier is Harman Kardons AVR-630, which was top of the line, when I bought it. My DVD player is Harman Kardons DVD-31.

Picture showing Amp and DVD in shelf I build, since I couldn't get any wall hanging hardened glass shelfs that were deep enough to accomodate the amp.
For speakers, I got the JBL Northridge series;
Left and Right channel :
(2) ND310 - 3 way speakers, 2 x 10 inch woofers, 4" midrange and 1" tweeters
Center :
(1) N-center - 2 x 5,25" woofers, 1" tweeter
Surrounds :
(4) N26 - 2 way, 6½ woofer, 1" tweeters
Subwoofer :
(1) E-250 - 12" active subwoofer, with 250W integrated amp.
Front view :

And yes, I need to find a better place for my Center speaker. Working on it, trust me :D
My TV is an older top-of-the-line Panasonic, with a flat screen tube, picture in picture, and still to this date, I haven't seen TVs that can present better quality.
At night, testing with Lord of The Rings :

My PC is hooked up to the cinema, so I can play games in there, if I wish, and more importantly (to me), play music from my PC on the stereo, so I wont have to change CDs all the time.
The PC is something I enjoy using as well. Built it 2½ years ago, but it still rocks today.
I also like my drumkit, however I only got an old pic of it, where it's not even at my house.

And yes, I dislike the colour on the wall.
Those are the things I could come up with. Let'me see what'cha got ? :D
Happy posting,
Ghost MacRoth

Nice setup dude. I have similarly routed all my music movies and PC into one big screen, but I haven't gone so nuts on the speakers!! Why not? well, I spend most of my money on the stuff I like, which is (no suprise to most of you) guns.
First up, my two main assalt rifles.
CYMA AK-74, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 290fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 50m. This gun is stock, and has required no modifications to kick ass!!
Tokyo Marui M4-A1, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 330fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 50m. This gun has a tightbore barrel, upgraded spring, gears and piston. It also has a replica 'Aimpoint' red-dot sight on it, as well as a side mounted flashlight, front drop handle, and detatchable bayonet (not shown)
Next, is the Sniper rifles.
Tokyo Marui G3-SG1, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 320fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 70m. This gun has a tigh bore barrel, and upgraded spring, and a rather nifty bipod on the front.
Tokyo Marui VSR10 G-Spec, Bolt action, firing at 260fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 50m, and makes hardly a sound due to it's fairly effective silencer. Scope is 3-9x40. This gun is currently stock, but will be getting various modifications soon.

Close Quarters
ICS MP-5 SWAT version, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 328fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 50m. This gun has a tigh bore barrel upgraded spring, gears and piston, with a touchpad activated torch underslung. This gun is a wee peach, it is possibly my favorite gun from my collection, as it never fails to impress me with it's range and accuracy.
Twin Tokyo Marui MP-5k's, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 260fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 30m. Both guns have had the springs upgraded, but need the barrels changed from vented to unvented to get the true potential out of them, when they will be firing at around 330fps.
Tokyo Marui M3 Shorty, Pump action fire, firing at 230fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 30m. I really like this shotgun, as it fires 3 bb's with each shot in a triangular spread pattern for increased accuracy.
KWA Glock 23c, Semi / Full Auto fire, firing at 290fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 30m. Swapped this for a throat microphone that I got for nothing off a job!!
Tokyo Marui M93-R, Semi / Full Auto fire, firing at 220fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 25m. First pistol I bought, is electric powered, and pretty weak, but works better in the winter than gas powered guns.
Tokyo Marui High Cappa 4.3, Semi Auto fire, firing at 300fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 40m. Not sure exactly what gun this is supposed to be based on, but if a Colt M1911 and a Glock 23 had a child, it'd be the High Cappa!!

Lastly, my special weapons!!
VGC Mk-43 Mod-0, Full auto fire only, firing at 340fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 60m. Upgraded motor for extra power and ROF. Fires about 20 rounds per second.:o This gun wieghs around 9.5kg when fully loaded, so it's more of a 'sit and let the enemy come to you' gun as opposed to 'charging into the attack'.
Thompson M1-A1, Full / Semi auto fire, firing at 340fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 60m. Super accurate with it's tightbore barrel, and with a real wood kit on the way, this gun will very soon be the dog's bollocks!
AGM Mp-40, Full auto fire only, firing at 320fps with a 0.2g BB, effective range is around 50m.
Two Gamma M-33 Claymore mines, For covering the back door when sniping, these are trip wire or remote detonated, and send a spread of BB's (or dried peas like I use as they are cheaper!!) about 10m out and 10m wide.

Pff... i couldnt upgrade anything without breaking laws, including stuff like tac lights T.T For models with normal power not even automatic is allowed...
And let's see what the change of weapon laws in the next April will bring - probably making the sport totaly illegal with anything fully automatic, or anything looking like a weapon of war T.T

Those are some hella-nice guns Scotsman! :D
I especially like the VSR10! I think we could have so much fun, although I'm sure I'd get my behind kicked :D
Nice to get to know you a little more, btw. :) I hope others will follow the example! Would be nice to know what everyone here is all about, when they don't play Swat :)

well i got this last year mate when "legtops" were new on the scene but if you were to get yourself a "legtop" i would suggest you go for either the acer aspire series or the asus eeepc's both come now with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz and can have solid sate "drives" of up to 120Gb i think. but mine does me fine after some XP speed tweaks does most of what i want it too with a little patience. i was at one time broadcasting SOG radio off mine with very little trouble :D
oh and i know the term is netbook but it dont make sense to me so i use legtop even on point of sale at work they are legtops - desktops sit on a desk, laptops sit on your lap thse fit on your leg so.......

I don't think there's anything wrong with bumping an old thread (that I showed him since he asked for my speakers), as long as you contribute with something to the thread :)
We shouldn't make new threads on existing topics, and we shouldn't bump old threads - in that case, we should either make a topic be talked about all the time, or simply never mention it again? :p See my point?
Bumping an old thread just to say "lol" on the other hand is wrong, but that's very different from actually contributing, in my opinion, and I still think this thread is relevant as we've got a lot of new people around who could also show off. ;)

That's some disturbing stereos you got the Nicoleise! Haven't never seen that big stereos in someones home... Or are those in your home :D ?

They are in my home. :) Actually it's one of my rooms. I have two, a bedroom/pc room/drum kit/dressing room, if you will, and my other room is the one you see, which is my living room basically.
The problem isn't with the size of the speakers, it's more with the numbers. A 7.1 channel surround system means I have two speakers behind my coach which is quite space consuming. But hey - it's a completely different experience to watch a movie or listen to music on it, so I love it! :)
