Alright... That's it. I'm sick and tired of SOG members accusing me of cheating and camping on the PO server. Some have been serious (when they don't know who I am as I go by many names now), some have been jokes... And I think the jokes are even worse then the real allegations.
Please provide proof of your claims and post it in the bad players section as I'm fed up with these empty claims.
I don't think it's very funny that SOG are tarnishing my name like this as I'm an honest and fair player (when I'm not doing chatkills) and people randomly playing on the servers won't know you are joking when you just say "aimbot" or "camping"...
How can you seriously expect to able to prevent other people from throwing out these malicious accusations when SOG members do it all the time without a second thought?
I am surprised, fed up and generally pissed off at the display of immaturity.
And don't you DARE say "lighten up" or it's just for laughs...

I am very sorry if I ever accused you of camping, or anything of the likes. I doubt it was me, because I haven't played lately. If it was, please tell me. Also i don't usually accuse anyone because i just want to play. I only say something if its really, really, really obvious...(camping i mean, not cheating.) i never accuse of cheating because i dont' know how to get proof :p

As she said, how are visitors to know if it's a joke or not?? Fair enough if you add 'joking' at the end of it or something, but still, perhaps those who have made these 'calls' (I'm sure thay'll know who they are, and need not be named here) should knock the crap off.

However, that sounds bad indeed. Well, i dont understand all that camping stuff anyway, so i'll shut up about that, but without proof noone should be called a cheater indeed.

I know most of them are. But joking about it is also bad in my opinion as it is not an issue to joke about.
Breaking clan/server rules, cheating or hacking are SERIOUS allegations that I don't think anyone should take lightly...

There is to be NO false acusations of cheating etc on our servers. The amount of times ive kicked players for "cheat" as soon as another player owns them is unreal.
This goes without saying; No proof, No claim
If I see or hear (with evidence) of one single member accuse anyone of cheating or alike in our servers, whether a joke or not, you are out of this clan.... and thats no joke.
If SOG is to reform and recover, this is one place to start that.... (and some wonder why they dont have admin permissions when they cant control themselves!!!)
Dont worry Trin, give me names of these members who are likely soon not to be...

Alright. I'll try to make myself clear then.
I know people have wanted me kicked off the server and then when finding out "Dude, it's Trinity" they are all batting their eyelashes and saying "hi". How can you accuse and hate one moment and change your mind the next? I didn't do anything wrong... So why are you wanting me removed from the server in the first place? I'm not cheating, not camping and I'M NEVER RUDE!
I've had people asking me for UAC... Which is fine of course. I rarely use it, so I don't mind the suspicion, but don't go back on it when you find out who I am. If you suspect, stick by it.

Thats irrelevant. As stated, jokes or not, this is not tolerated in public SOG servers. It doesnt do the clan any favours and it is exactly like those members bickering and arguing amongst each other in our servers.
Those concerned need to grow up.... We succeed through teamwork!!!
I would also like to add that, SOG admins should be looking out for possible cheaters in servers, so if you happen to get a high score such as over 40 and less than 10 deaths, expect to be questioned or even asked to use UAC (No accusations in public though). It protects us all. In relation to this also, ive noticed you are using a variety of nicknames recently Trin, and although its harmless yes, we fail to recgonise you (unless your me :p) and as a result you will get treated as any possible public high scorer that could be suspected of cheating. If you used Trinity, we know you and I would expect you to be hassled ;) Just a thought...

A ":P" doesn't always translate into a joke... And perhaps not everyone knows what J/K stands for... You have to consider that the claim will be perceived as a true statement by someone... And thus it is the reality that it's a malicious attack on someones integrity. And also, if it IS perceived as a joke, then since SOG members do it... Then everyone can.
I understand, Matt. But please respect that I'm not out to chop off heads... I'm merely trying to get a debate on the issue to flare up so those ignorant about it will become educated. They are usually good people, that mean well... They just really mess up on that one.
Edit: Yes of course I know people won't recognize me under all my different names, that is to be expected. I also do it for the reason not to be recognized sometimes as it's nice being left alone when you're in a particularly bad mood. Also I won't automatically be recognized as a woman (but if asked I would never lie), as it can be pretty exhausting to be questioned about personal issues that you are not very keen on sharing.
It's also nice to discover how different people treat you when you are not "one of the crowd". It shows different aspects of peoples personalities, and I find that very interesting. I would not bait or lie or deceive. I would simply be a quieter version of myself. And even though so many claim I'm such a good and nice person... Only changing my name allows people to treat me with a totally different standard.

AND I do not mind being asked for UAC, as I expect anyone else asked for it to produce the program. But if the suspicion is already in someones mind... Then they shouldn't back out on it just because they find out it's someone they know. Everyone should be treated equally!

Oh, and i liked to change my names too to see how nice people really are, but... i never had such a bad experience. Seems like a lot changed in the last weeks :( And i feel like an idiot for what I did right now, especialy the admin thing, and i need to say sorry again right now... Sad topic.

Well, I'm not a person that's easily offended by anything, and personally, when someone tells me to 'turn off the aimbot' I take it as a compliment. I mean, yeah you shouldn't be saying it, but I don't think we should nail people for trying to compliment someone. I myself would never accuse someone of cheating though, unless I think they actually are, then which is when I fire up my xFire in game. This issue is more of a common sense issue, and I'm surprised that a large debate can arise over such an issue.

I'd like to add that since Swat is played by people all around the world, there's those that don't speak english, so there's the possibility that they wouldn't understand english slang terms. In their eyes, all they'd see is someone being accused of cheating.

This is also a good opportunity for me to voice my opinion of UAC. Even though I understand that UAC is supposed to keep the game equal for everyone, I do not like how it has gotten to the point in today's world that just because of a small group of people doing bad things, everyone has to suffer. Just because Joe Blow thinks it's funny to use an aimbot doesn't mean everyone else should have to start up their UAC every time they play Swat.
Furthermore, I don't like the thought of having a program scan my computer and take screenshots of my activity. This is just another example of how big brother has gotten into our everyday lives. Take a look at the new Call of Duty game that just came out. In order to play with it online, you have to have a program called PunkBuster running with it. As you might have guessed from the name, it's an anti-cheat program. And just like UAC, it takes screenshots of your activity.
Now how do you know that the people viewing those screenshots can be trusted? How do you know that the people who create these anti-cheat programs can be trusted? They could be scanning your computer for passwords and other sensitive information. What if I had passwords or other confidential things somewhere up on my desktop, and the anti-cheat program takes a screenshot?
The entire point is, even though I don't cheat, I do not like any of these anti-cheat programs. Now I know that there's going to be responses saying "how else are we supposed to know if Joe Blow is cheating?", and my response is, whatever happened to just trusting someone, and taking their word on things? However, I also realize that we live in a world where individuals can't be trusted anymore, so there goes that out the window.
I'll stop ranting now and get off of my soapbox, but I still don't agree, and I never will, with having everyone conform into using these anti-cheat programs.

But unfortunately your missing the point of this: the main and only point is to get you out of your rhythm, so you play worse. Kinda psychical (Psychologigal I think he means) thing.
Did you noticed the change after? From 42/19 to 16/13 (or something like that)?
Iīm blamed of cheating every day, and just 2/10 cases are meant as joke. All I can say is "my UAC ID is SOGpistol - go and check it".

K just to let you know if i see anyone i don't care wich rank see someone acusing for cheater or camper and they don't have proof they deal with me, i'm sick of the false acusiations by some, you can ask for uac if you want,if he doesn't wanna use it then you can think of cheating,like i said think and use x-fire to say to members in that team to keep a eye out that's all if he has proof of him cheating then you can kick him. If someone is acusing and it is a member pm the leaders and we take care of it.

And of course it is none of my business on SOG Clan rules, this is my personal view only, and in part how MYT operate on it's PO servers..
When someone particularly a fellow member calls you a cheat in public even if it is a joke, at the very least would be insensitive, and at the worst down right insulting.
In addition ppl will get the idea that it is an excepted standard of behaviour.
All I can say that our rule is that no one calls anyone a cheater in public, and if they do are reminded not too and if they have evidence present it on our forum.
Repeated calling a cheater earns a kick.
If there is a disagreement between members on PO servers it is our rule that it should be sorted out on xfire or PM, not in public.
The bigger problem is that it could lead to loss of trust, and in a clan that is not a good thing.
As in MYT, trust is important when this subject arises, and I admit we have had similar discussions.
As to the Trinity's score , it is excellent, and would give our best pistol's shooter a run for his money. It is not in my view odd, we all have red hot days and poor days, Trinity had a good one.
Camping is a problem, and yes many ppl complain and ask about the rule...
In our VIP servers spawn camping is only allowed if VIP is present, it is allowed at other points on a map.
On the pistol server camping is not allowed at spawn.....
The use of UAC is a personal Clan matter, all I will say is that we dont rely on it for final proof of cheating, video evidence is required for that.

It's not really that hard, at least in my opinion ; when I go to work everyday, I put on clothes that have the company logo all over them. I get in a car that has the companys name on every side. In other words, I represent the company. If I go around waving my middle finger all over the place, yelling and screaming how the world is retarded, then people who witness that, are not going to call that company, if they need something to be done.
The same principle applies to SOG. When you find yourselves in a server, with |SOG| in front of your name, then you represent SOG. If people are considering joining SOG, they'll make the decision based on the way you conduct yourself. If they're unsure, if they want to get back on that server, then you're the one to prove the SOG servers are the best place in the business. :)

well... personally I dont threat others CHEATERS... the thing I said in past was to ace and future "you got acebot/futurebot v6.3.5.7... lmao".... If that was wrong please accept my apologizes and I wont say that again.... and for the CAMPER one I only ask someone to stop camping if I see him doing persistant camping... I even dont say nothing to some ones that gets their last warn cause I'm not really sure that he was camping and I dont want to kick someone that dont deserve it...
really, I don't think that I did it cause I try to play as nice as I can be with everybody, SOG or not, but if I hurteed someone or you think I was disrespectfull, etc etc against you please tell me and accept my apologizes

Kira, if I may give you a friendly advice, please consider what you're posting. :) Being angry about it isn't gonna get anybody any closer to any solution.
That being said; there's no one here saying it's not allowed to talk on the servers. There's no one saying no fun, jokes or whatever. The only thing being said here, is that there are to be no accusations. And that has in fact been a rule all along.
We're all allowed all the fun, jokes, small talk and chitchat we like, as long as we don't annoy everyone with it. The thing we're not allowed is to accuse other players, or make jokes, that other players may percieve as being accusations. That's all.
I really don't understand your apparently very strong reaction to this thread, I'm not sure if you read all of it ?
But to sum up ; No calling people cheaters, campers or aimbotters or the like. If you can prove someone is doing it, then you report them, if you can't, then you just don't talk about that.
Other than that, you can talk till you cant feel your fingers. :)

Dont get me wrong, I think a few posters in this thread need to review whats been said. Its surely not that hard to understand "no accusations without proof" and "no useless binds & pointless banter". Or am I completely wrong? :s

i CAN understand that kind of humor and so do a few (if not, Many) others.
And therein lies the problem. If it's a private joke, keep it off the public servers please. :)

Just as others may have missed the joke, because they don't know how every SOG acts. They don't know our personalities.

Sounds like a good idea Gunchick.
I just want to say that EVEN if it's a joke keep it between you and the other player, don't bring it on the public servers.
That is nothing to joke about on public servers, especially when others might think you are serious.
