Some people would take a ban as a hint, that they're unwanted.
Oh, and by the way... There's a little thing called "MAC adress". It works very well at banning stupid people. Just wanted to let you know. And your ISP also has an email adress, to be used for reporting abuse. Keep that in mind too.

A player matching the IP Ghost just posted is currently on PO, kicking players... This is no good news.
For information, the GLs are free to contact me ASAP regarding IP and ISP, etc on this player!

Important Update
A player using the IP provided here is reported to have entered the P.O. server 3 times, each time getting on, kicking everyone then leaving. I believe it's no coincidence, that the very same server is offline now.
Unfortunately, I believe he's doing nasty things to it.
I dispatched Admins to look after our servers, untill the situation is under control, and the global ban GhostMacRoth is working on goes in affect. Untill then, I can only ask admins to help us in safeguarding our servers, focussing mainly on the PO server, if it gets back up, and the Coop 1 server.
I also attempted to coordinate everyone, and get Ghost alerted to the situation. Note that I only do so due to the absence of GLs and the need for quick actions. If I acted incorrectly, please inform me over PM or xFire.
The instructions are to kick ANY playername, that enters using the IP 86.162.192.240. Don't wait till he's connected. Kick the IP as soon as Swat tells you "Playername connecting (86.162.192.240)." It's VITAL that he cannot gain access to the Gez Mods Admin panel. If you see any player connecting using that IP, contact me or Ghost ASAP on xFire, stating the playername.
The above instructions are valid untill GL says otherwise, or past midnight (23:59 GMT+0, tuesday, November 27th), as the IP may change on him reconnecting at some point.
If you're not an admin, there's not alot you can do to help in this case, but here's a few pointers for everyone :
• Don't PM the leaders, and don't xFire them unless you have something important. They are already plenty informed of what's going on. Feel free to inform them of anything, not related to this issue, but be prepared for them being busy. :)
• Help us keep an eye on what servers are up and down. You can do so either by being on the server, or by looking at the Game Server page every once in a while. If you see a change lasting longer than a normal loading session in Swat, inform us :)
Very important :
We have this players IP, ISP information, and screenshots of threats as well as possibly server logs of his hacking attemps. You can rest assured that justice will prevail. His ISP has an email adress for reporting abuse, and the cops also have divisions for dealing with hackers. However, DO NOT report this player yourself. Noone, apart from GLs should do so, they get the call on wheather to report it or not.
If there's any other actions you think of taking, or if you know in any way, how this HIXXY got the knowledge of any passwords or weaknesses, please tell a GL in private.

I don't know if you realize this, but depending on how deep he's in, he may be able to see IP adresses on all of us, for instance.

Those Angry people can look it up themselves. If you have a second look, I wasnt the one posting the ISP. Tyrope did. And he found out after a few minutes of googling. Anyone can do that.
However, I dont care if it's deleted, I already found all that stuff out hours ago, a few minutes after Ghost posted the IP. I just saved it to my notebook rather than posting it.

He cannot hack this server or access the admin of our game servers. The claims that he apparently entered the SOG Pistols server as admin are false nor he actually join under the IP specified in this thread. The server crashed under high loads.
He is merely a child who thinks he can bypass a ban by re-registering at our site, nothing more. If he did get in any server as admin well, I would like to see that miracle and chances are the password was given to him. Good luck trying to hack it :)

Well, yeah... Problem was, there wasn't any GLs on to respond, so we all had to go by what we knew, and with the PO server being down, after that convo on xFire and the threat, it seemed likely enough. :)

And yeah, I was puzzling alot with how he gained the access, since the regular admin password wouldn't make him capable of kicking other admins, I assume, and not at all to stop the server. :)

well this is not good... also i have a question, why did that badman guy come on our PO and tell me "im impressed with your clan" i said "how so?" (knowing deka was reconnecting, and im not adming so i waited for one ;)) he replied with "you all do your homework." is there a relation or just random? If you remember Hixxy posted in badman's report thread saying something i missed because it was removed (for good reasons)... so i can't make the connection... but i just wondered if it was at all connected or just two nubs in stuck in a coincidence....
EDIT: ok well i went and reread that thread and MZ said they were the same... so if badman was on our server i assume no ban can be/or has been approved? or what? im kinda lost... can anyone fill me in?

In long terms it is Distributed Denial of Service, just google DDos and you will find many explanations of how it works, and yes its a hack.

Thanks for the report everyone. Don't worry GunChick, if there is solid proof we will deal with this as needed.
This started a few days ago when I banned him from the site for bad posting practice on site after he was mad because he got reported on here for bad server practice.
@Deka: Yes he does have a Dynamic IP, that's how he can make a post on the site again, but not sure if he can register or not. We will take the proper action to get rid of this guy, and further investigate.

well anyway matt i think if the passwords are changed just to be on the safe side could rule out the possibillity of this happening in the near future. at your discresion of course mate. or whatever you deem fit at this time. ;)

Hixxy = Checking... and the user does have a dynamic IP.
I guess some proof of Gunhicks claims would be very nice indeed. I would also like to point out, that if ANYONE joined the server undercover, now'd be a good time to tell us! :)
If anyone has compromised the admin password (shared it with anyone, basically), even to what appeared to be a fellow soggie, now would also be the time to PM a leader.

About the ISP stuff: Well, okay, when i wrote that i thought he was really a threat. In this case both, the IP and ISP information and all the talk about him shouldnt be public and viewable by him. If you tell the suspects that you're searching for them, they'll do less mistakes :p

Normal regulations are as follow:
For obtaining IP address you have sevral ways. Our best one at the moment is indeed that he has registerd with the forum. When registering you agree with the rules of the website that you register with. I assume our rules have a kind of clausule in it.
For further investigation it should be more wise to continue this thread in members only section. But that's just me speaking as a system administrator.

1. was someone logged in when the po server crashed?
1.1 If yes: sometimes when a admin is logged in and the server crashes and restarts, then it simetimes can happen that someone else is logged in all of a sudden, that's a admin mod bug i think, i have seen it alot.
2. This are he's names on the forums, so maybe also in game:
