Hi everyone...

Getting used to this forum now. But one thing really annoys me... Even if I update by F5, threads aren't updated, till I leave them. That made me think, that I remember being on a site once, that had this funny little icon in the top right. It flashed if anybody replied to a topic, you posted in. And i you hovered it, you could see the topics, if you clicked it, it woulld list them as links.

Really helpfull gadget, with a forum with so many different departments.

I assume it involves alot of programming, but this site didn't come from rubbing leaves on stones. It's already hightech, so someone must know how to do stuff like that.

Do you think, it'd be a good addition to the forum, and do you see it as remotely possible / realistic. ?

One more (and alot more simple) suggestion. Is it possible to have the "join ts server link" in the waaaay buttom put at the top ? Not the whole server status window, just the join link. If that could go in the menu, that'd nice for confused people like me. :D

How do you ppl feel about that one ? :)

Yes its still possible mate but a little different to what you describe above. However I can tailor it to our needs if required. Personally I never use the option as it is more of a hinderance than help to me.

If you want to keep track of threads or posts made whether by yourself or anyone else, use "Subscribing".

You can either click "Thread Tools" at the top of the page under the first post, then select "Subsribe to this thread" OR

If you want to be notified everytime etc this is set using the USER CP.

Go to USER CP > Edit Options > "Messaging & Notification" > "Default Thread Subscription Mode"

@TS Link Subject.

You can connect to our server with one simple click in two places on our site. One being the homepage under the stats display & another at the bottom of the forum index (under chatbox).

If you want to enter the server instantly, you can also enter your registered password & username in the USER CP also under "Edit Options"

I will consider adding a link under the "quick links" display though...

Hope that helps.

Yeah, I found that the new posts menu is helpful. I have no idea why I overlooked it before. :s But that does excactly what I want... Give me an updateable page, that shows new posts, so you can respond to people, while they're there.

Any idea in making an option that opens the new posts menu in a new window, that autorefreshes every minute or so ?

Ok ive come up with a quick idea regarding posts. Behold a new "Post Monitor".

It is accessable to all users and the link to the live monitor can be found in the "welcome panel" at top of forums index.

Tell me if you find that useful. Its a list of a selection of posts made and it updates automatically as posts & threads are made regardless of whether you have read them or not.

Hope it helps
