(is it true you can't join the server if you haven't got a real copy of the game? if yes,i really got to buy it soon:o)

I don't like that map, gets old, seems most conquest servers I would join that had ppl in them had that map or a couple others all the time :( gets annoying.

Yeah, I'm sure you can find a cheap copy of BF2 on amazon, or something like Majid posted ^^

Just putt some maps where I can cruise in an armor, some airplane maps and thats enough for me... :D

Suggestions? Well, i like Al Basrah as map, the insurgency gamemode is a cool new idea - oh, wait, its Vanilla - hmm, then its your problem :p

By the way - Where will the server be located? If its where the #2 etc are, i'll be unable to play anyways :p

First: I would suggest that in the beginning you make an effort to gather the SOG forces onto the server at specific times to either practice or have fun. It would populate the server at regular times, and would then leave it up to everyone else if they would like to join in or not. As I'm suspecting it will be hard to populate at first (as most people have servers they use regularly). I'll do my best to drag in people I know onto the server.

Second: Having a diverse map list will appeal to a diverse crowd of gamers. Personally I prefer maps like Daqing Oilfields, Fushe Pass and Songhua Stalemate. I don't fly much and I don't like facing off snipers everywhere.

For those rusty and for those new: Use the server to practice on when low on people. Even if the round never starts, have fun, test out the gear, browse the maps locations and quirks to see how you can best maneuver the map. But most importantly, try to get to know those aspects you don't master.

Like me: I'm a poor sniper, and so I try my best to avoid the kit, but sometimes I need it and sometimes it can be useful, and then I should be able to master it. Get to know what the kits contain, how the vehicles handle, what terrain will benefit your style of play or your type of vehicle. It will greatly benefit you in battle.
