animated avatar

ive noticed some people have animated avatars... what kind of file is this?? or can someone help me by showing me a free program used to make one?

The file format is called .GIF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GIF) just search on Google with "animate GIF (http://www.google.com/search?q=animate+GIF&sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-35,GGGL:en)" and you will find tons of info and programs.

eh i tried uploading an animated gif but it said invalid file type... thats y i made this thread

You have to upload them at places that accept such a file extension.

try photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) they host that type and many more.

nvm what i had here before... i got it uploaded on photobucket now how do i get it here?

Well what size is it if it's higher then 80x80 you have to give to one of the leaders and he adds it too your profile, guess if you do it it becomes smaller and it doesn't animate anymore.
