I myself use Adobe Premiere, it has some amazing features and can produce some very pro results, not to mention the plugins available... that's if you can get your head around the GUI lol.
I just switched to premiere pro 2, no complaints from me.
I tried sony vegas 6 and just couldn't get on with the interface.
Here's a few vids I made for EVE Online using Fraps and premiere pro 1.5, let me know what you think :)

Well, personally, I use this program I bought from Toys R Us a long time ago. It called the DIGITAL BLUE MOVIE MAKING SOFTWARE.
I don't know if you can still get it, but it's great!
There are a whole bunch of video editing software out there.

Zorath, it took you an hour to realise movie maker sucks? I admire your perserverence! :D I agree with Pyros though - Premiere is the best movie editing software out there. You may need to download a tutorial or two to get the most out of it, as it is a professional sort of program, but it's worth the effort.
im using Sony Vegas 6.0 its really good program, and you need time to find all the stuff that you can do with it :)
Adobe/Maromedia Premiere Pro....I've been using it for years...

Yea ive never tried any other movie editing program, i take it im missing out?
Nah... I will stick to Pinnacle, cheap, affordable, simple and fun ;)
I use this program I bought from Toys R Us a long time ago. It called the DIGITAL BLUE MOVIE MAKING SOFTWARE.
-------
Had to laugh - I read this as digital "Blue movie" making software and jumped to conclusions about the sort of movies you make :D
Then I realised you got it at Toys R Us and didn't know whether to laugh harder or report Toys R Us to the newspapers :D
Anyway, i'm +1 for Pinnacle Studio. Especially version 10- which is a re-write based on the Avid engine and gets rid of a load of the old glitches.
If money was no object then Id got for a Avid Liquid product. Sadly, I can't.

Dudes, I work in film and tv, where they often use the Avid system to edit. It's not a cheap option as it requires a huge amont of cash for the software AND hardware. You can't run it at home that's for sure! The closest program available to the general public is Adobe Premier. It is the best (if a little over complex) home editing software you can currently buy. Trust me on this, 15 years in the industry, I know what's best! :p
