Hello,

As you might or might not know, i have a new computer. Hoping to finally be able to run the game smoothly i reinstalled it.

When i launch both my screens flash black for a second, then the second one turns on like normal while the first opens with a windowed, maximized black window, 1s after that window closes, and the process ends.

any1 know what's causing the problem?

I heard about this problem, a friend of my had the same problem and I thought he fixed it, I'll ask him when he's online.

Sounds to me like some kind of driver problem.Either display or Chipset driver

Have you treid runing it as administrator.I know Windows 7 is ful of crap when it comes to some stuf.I know im using it aswell Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

I asked my friend I he said he solved it by installing the latest driver for his Video Cart.

well, that worked, although now i'm getting crashes to desktop.

oh and no, it's not LA mod, yet.

Did you already try running 911 in compatibility mode for Vista or XP?

And to go slightly off-topic, since you got the setup: What are two monitors good for anyway?

Not since the update, i should. Silly me.

as for the dual-screen:
more space for the pretty desktop icons, and to work on.
like for example; i can open notepad with some recently reported guys and IPs on the left and play on the right screen.

that said, i haven't actually found a game that supports ati's eyefinity yet.

EDIT: ok, the game runs now, that is, vanilla... downloading LA mod as i type.
