I like Dragon Ball anime and games. I like Tekken games. Those two titles, are very important to me. I spent a lot of time watching / playing them. And I find disgusting what they did to the Dragon Ball movie, and I don't feel happy about Tekken the movie as well.

Dragon Ball movie was an absolute failure in my opinion. The main character, looks nothing like the one in anime/games. It's some skinny guy that looks like a model not fighter. Story sucks even more.
As for Tekken, the only good thing there - fights. Some are really nice, although way too short. They have kept the game moves and grabs, which is nice to see. Some characters are also very well kept according to the originals. But that's it.

I think, that there is a lot of anime/games, that shouldn't be made as a proper movie, but CGI instead. Just like it was with Final Fantasy VII Advent Children. Can you imagine, what a disaster it would be if they were to make that a live action movie? And now imagine how good Dragon Ball could have been, when CGI... They totally spoiled something very good.

Of course there are games, where is no need to make it CGI when it comes to making a movie. Like Resident Evil series. Zombies, lickers, crows - a bit of CGI, a bit of acting. And the rest is fine. But there are some that you simply can't make a normal movie from... And by the way. Wentworth Miller as Chris in the newest RE movie? Give me a break.........

Should the anime/games movie adaptation, be a CGI or a live one? So what's your point of view on this I wonder.

I'm giving Miller a chance to find his role as Chris. I'm looking forward to watching Resident Evil Afterlife, even though Jill Valentine is back. Sienna Guillory really didn't capture Jill Valentine at all in the second movie, which was of course a huge disappointment.

I'm wondering how Chris and Claire will be together as I've given up on Jill. :sunny: There is slight hope.

Anyone seen Blood The Last Vampire (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0806027/)? Could be good.

Isn't there Ghost In The Shell movie coming out? Now, that's a disaster waiting to happen. I hope they put LOTS of CGI in it if it has real actors. *bleh*

I loved the Final Fantasy movie which was only CGI. When you move away from CGI and get in actors, you limit everything... That's the cool thing about animated stuff... The creator can go wild with their imaginations.

If the limitations of real life can portray a game or animated show adequately, then I'm all for it. As it's up to the writer, director and actors to make it all work. But when the story and visuals are so out there that you can't really adequately reproduce it... CGI!

In my perfect world... Movies = CGI. I guess Avatar had one thing going for it, and that was the step towards using better CGI on faces etcetera.

We're already on our way to actors only being needed for voices and a bodyshape they can scan and implement. Go technological advancement!
