I've been here for a few days now and I've gotten to know some of you.
The reason I wanted to join was because you actually made the COOP online work, I've been playing on and off a bit, but somnoe always managed to ruin the games either by rushing, teamkilling or failing the missions. This didn't happen in the SOG server though, TKers gets kicked and the players were acting mature and worked togther as a team.
So it didn't take me long to apply, and I am very glad I did.
The website, while not containing much info other than the forums is still very well managed, it is also running very smoothly.
The forum is great, one of the best I've seen, and I'm sure we can make it even better as time comes.
Over my time online I've been to very many different types of clans in severel generes of games, I've also been Founder and co boss of several, and I know a lot of leaders in different places can be bitter and act selfish or just be rude.
A clan I joined about a year ago called The Art of War is probably the biggest clan there is. They have huge members lists on all the big FPS games, they have advanced systems of rewards and ranks, very advanced, they also have strickt rules regarding their teamspeak server.
All this got overwhelming, even for me who likes things complicated. (if you want referanse to that I can let you read a democratic system I wrote a while back)
Now here at SOG all the essential things TAW has is in place, but here it is interesting compared to TAW where playing feels like work.
I am also very pleased to see that the leaders of this clan is strongly against cheating and value their reputation, I see that you care for it and you are doing exactly the same things I would, if I were the leader here.
Morale values are very important, even with the little things such as kicking out non clanners from servers in order to make room for yourself.
I thank you all for your welcome hospitality and I feel very lucky to have bumped into you. :D
