Um... Didn't the french invade Britain? Don't they have/had colonies around the world... Napoléon Bonaparte anyone? I'm too smart to find it funny. :P

Might just add that the royal bloodline in Sweden died out and so one of Napoléon's high ranking officers were asked to take the throne, and he did. He ended up leading his army against his former general which contributed to Napoléon's eventual demise.
