OK i know radio is down ATM but i know you guys will work it out sooner or later :p

Therefore, i have a proposal to make for all interested members. Right now, SOG counts 31 members from 18 countries (if i counted correctly). I suggest we make a somewhat of a national night on SOG radio, where we would choose a day, lets say fri/sat/sun and where a member of SOG would present his/her country over the radio during a 1-2 hour program. It would also be a one-time event (or maybe more if it shows up as good one :) ). What kind of music, artists and everything considering the music would be left to the member playing the music at the day, and i suggest we open a small xfire conference to write useless comments and stuff like that :p

What say you?

I think that idea sounds nice DTK :) But than, we need minimum 1 Moderator/DJ of each nation that knows how to do this :D Dont know if we got so much people here that knows how to use programs and so on =)

I like the idea :D And couldnt you (if you dont know how to use the programs) just record the show beforehand / just talking and stream it (music can be played when specified), as that aint too hard with winamp :D or send it to a DJ if radio permission does not want to be given to so many?

have to say that i like the idea very much :D i would love to hear national programs with specific music, bands, singers etc - you know what i mean

more so i could also make one in cooperation with Sierra cause we need the break in music styles to not be boring too much

one could easily get this recorded using nothing more but TeamSpeak... and then the DJ can cut it up nicely. ;)

I like this idea, recording in another program, if needed, other then TS would have better quality.

Who ever is interested in representing their Country then mention it here so we can get a list together.

Also sorry about the delay with the radio, have had other issues that have came up lately that are delaying the research in to this issue.

If enough people want to do a program i will try to write an "How to do" Tutorial for broadcasting ;) So the recording mb isnt necessary but if u want, u still can do it on that way :)
These of you which want to do the program live, can do it than if they understand my Tutorial :D But firstly i will open a new thread where you can sign in to make your own national program :) Than its not so confusing through the whole other comments here :)

Click on the link below to sign in youre own radio show.

well the thing is mate there are a few ways and programs that can be used for hosting or streaming the radio and im not certain that the details to access the server can be made available to every1, so maybe the recorded option might be the best to go with for most folks.

Tho we can w8 and see what the general opinion is at least but well done on moving this forward anyway

Ok X it can be a problem youre right :( But to mix up and completely 2 hour program for mb 10 or more people is very hard and costs a lot of time :( Only the Music tracks are very much than... but i think nothing is impossible and we can do it nevertheless ;)

(EDIT: An option can be to edit the Streaming Password only for this programs? And if finished, set back to normal?)

dont get me wrong i think your tutorial idea is great i just think there maybe to many options to cover etc

yeah that could work mate, or we could get the "presenter" to record his inbetween bits and give a list on the songs etc to the streaming dj?

anyway we do it im sure it will be great to hear new stuff and learn more about our nations etc

And yeah of course im in too :D

Hehehe, what an opportunity. Germans and Austrians telling about their countries. I wonder if the words "Ösi" and "Piefke" would find their way into our "country reviews" or if they would be free of our "little war" going on. :p Well I'd mention it, however I never call Germans like that, since they're just people like myself.

Oh and @topic: A great idea I think! A good opportunity to learn about the daily things in life of someone who lives somewhere else. Enables you to compare with your own life in your country. :) I would be in, but with no microphone and no intention to get one, I'm out. ._.

I'm not sure if that can be done but I'll look in to that about the password. The idea of the one that does the recording can give a list of information, like songs etc... to do as a break type thing, then the one that Broadcasts it can put it together, the over all file would be smaller then. (At least that's the hope)

As far as the learning how to host the radio, there is a thread in this radio board here (http://www.sog-team.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7037) that shows what someone would need to broadcast online. :)

Hopefully you can still type :)

Besides, i bet we all wonder how your evil voice sounds like (even though we sometimes hear it in our heads :p )

Any more info on how to make this happen? I mean did you guys figure out the best/easiest way to take this?

As for chat, i suggest we use radio chatroom like X suggested.

Looking forward to hearing some nasty music :p

Id go with recording what you would like the DJ to broadcast and sending it via Xfire ;). Good idea and even though I mentioned this in the actual thread, AMAZING jingles :D.
