The Emergency games aren't on a big budget so maybe better graphics might mean the company would have to pay more to their developers or graphic artists. I've seen the screenshots on the emergency-planet forum. Some say it's not real because the game is still in early stages. I guess we'll find out for sure when screenshots are released on the game's official website, which has yet to be set up as far as I know.

Well it looks nicer, but thats about it. Even some sounds are exactly the same. The interface seems somewhat improved but i will wait and see, don't want to jump to conclusions

Hehe, I played the first 3 missions yesterday and indeed some of the features are the same as in EM4. What I like though is that every mission take place in other citys over Europe (might be global). Another thing is that you can't buy anymore vehicles during missions. You get a couple of vehicles at the beginning and you have to it with those. The interface looks indeed the same as EM4 as well as the sounds. Haven't checked it out anyfurther yet but I play it some more when I get back of school this afternoon.

I did not try EM2012 yet, but as the others said, I doubt that it will be much nicer than the old EM4.

For my country there's a very well made and nice looking mode with tons of new scripts and stuff (new cars, new missions, new interface,... ). It gets updated all few months and I would consider it being way better than the new game that's coming out, even though it's for free.

But I am looking forward to hear more about the new game here...

The game doesn't come to the US until January 5, 2011. :p From what I can tell from the video, I see the interface is compact version of the original. I agree that the sounds are the same. I like the new feature where you can get one police officer to use a megaphone to guide civilians away instead of just blocking them or getting one officer per person. I also like that the ladder truck has a longer water cannon range than the one in EM4. I have to wonder what the freeplay mode is like since the missions give you only a certain number of units to work with at the start.

I'm thinking of buying but I'll wait until I read the reviews before I decide.

Hope only game will me more fluend. I play on Em4 with a Nvidia 8800 gts but still have low fps sometimes... engine problems more than graphic card. Hope they worked on a new one for Em5.

Your graphics card should work fine. I have an 8600 and it runs the game smoothly. As for the game's graphics engine it's supposedly new.
