Hello people :)

I've noticed that it's hard to search forum members, as the tool is in only visible in "Quick Links -> Forum Members -> Search Members". I didn't find it myself back then, so I asked it from a member :)

Back then, the first place I tried to find it was the "Search" button. So it'd maybe be nice if it'd be added there, as I'm sure that's where the people try to find it first if they need it.

So there would be like: "Tag Search, Advanced Search, Forum Members Search" and so.

Or do you have a better idea where it could also be? ;)

Cos it's really hard to find a profile, who hasn't posted any messages. :)

I usually use Quick Links -> View Forum Members, and simply click the first letter of their name. However, making a search function for usernames should be possible. :)

Maybe our search field (the one that pops up when you click "Search") could even be adapted to also return profile results.

Worth looking into for sure, good idea :)

EDIT : I've manage to code the feature somewhat, I'll have to see if it's useable first, and then I'll hopefully be able to integrate it to the search function :)

EDIT 2 :
The feature has now been implemented into the Advanced Search (http://www.sog-team.com/forum/search.php) page, on Pro Dark 09, as well as the blue themes.

The Advanced Search (http://www.sog-team.com/forum/search.php) page can be brought up by clicking Search in the navbar, and then clicking Advanced Search, or more simply by clicking on Search with your middle mouse button / scroll wheel, to open the search in a new tab, which also results in the Advanced Search being displayed.

Questions or bugs? Let me hear'em? :)

Nice addition :)

Works if you don't know the entire username just the first few letters or something. :)

I was wondering. Could this same feature set to the FPA -forums? :)

That'd be nice

it could be if Nico agrees to share the code :p

Of course. :D It was pretty tricky to make it show properly, but it *should* be an easy task to copy the feature to FPA. :) I'll catch you on xFire to let you know which templatenames apply, etc :)
