The latest film I'm working on is called 'Doomsday', set in a post apocolyptic Britain, directed by Niel Marshal (dog soldiers) and starring Bob Hoskins and Malcolm McDowell (amoungst others!) and I got SOG another mention!!

This is a close photo of it (taken on camera phone, so apologies for low quality) followed by a video to show it's position on the set.

Yeah they know what it is, and they kinda expect this sorta thing from me!! They also know that I have agreed to work straight through 3 weeks of filming in order to use the extra cash to pay for an M-249 or Mk-43 SAW for the airsoft!!:BoomSmilie_anim:

The slogan came about as the graffitt had to be sort of doom and gloom by nature as everyone is dropping dead from some crazy disease.:puke: So there were things like 'if you want to live, pray!!', 'kill the infected', 'the end is HERE!!' 'we are all f*cked!!' etc.

I'm pretty sure you'll see this film, it's got a budget of over $30million, so they are definetly gonna release it!!:D

As little as I can get away with!!:joke:

I am a propman. At the moment, I am with the dressing crew, and we put the burned cars, the plants, the rubbish, the rubble etc, into the street to give it 'the look', and clear it all up at the end. Other times, I am with the shooting crew, maintaining the sets during filming. I also make props, work as an art department assistant, art director, prop buyer, occasional effects work, anything in the props / art department really.

@ Matt, yeah, it'll get a UK release for sure. Did I mention who's in it? Bob Hoskins, Malcolm McDowell, the black lad outta 'Hustle', and some foxy chick offa 'Nip Tuck' who's name I can't remember.

Got a box of guns delivered to my propstore today, so annoying as they are in a lock box and I don't have the key!!!!!!!

Why wait? Get yourself a DV camera, a capture card and adobe premier, and go for it!! The earlier you start, the better a chance you have of a career in film. Also, I have a friend who settled in canada and she now works as much as she wants to as Canada has tons of film and TV work going on ALL THE TIME!!!!!! Start building your body of work now and it'll be easier later. :D

So Ghost Ill defo see it at the cinema just out of interest if nothing else. Is there an expected date of release? & Whats the film name again?

Ghost MacRoth
05-05-07, 08:31 PM
Release date will be......sometime, er, ...........in the ,er,.................future, sort of thing!! At least 6 months as we have just rented a warehouse for 6 months to store ALL the props, sets, costumes, etc, till the film is 'locked down' or in other words, edited ready for release. And at the moment it is called 'Doomsday', but it is not uncommon for a film to be made under one title, and released under another. I'll keep you up to date old bean, dinna worry! :p

Yeah, this film is basically a rip off of 28 days later, mad max, and escape from new york. Not as good as any of them I suspect!!

Tc, they are all films worth seeing dude. Mad Max was from the '70's, (mad Max 2 was better though), Escape from new york is a great film too, if a little shmaltzy. 28 days later is brilliant. It's like a british take on all the usa zombie movies. See them all dude, you won't be dissapointed.
