Hello everyone! A late merry christmas and a happy new year to everyone. I've been home now for a week and have finally adjusted. I'm even back into the SWAT4 realm.
Wanna hear about my trip? No? Pff, I don't care, I'm going to tell ya anyways. *smirks*

1. LA: Lots of nice people, crappy roads, good food and lively clubs. Visited the strip, a Santa Monica pier, Universal Studios AND Paramount Studios (who's not open for tourists by the way, but we have contacts). Saw a concert with a dude... Brian Seltzer or something.. Can't remember, we were jet-lagged. Visited "The House of Blues" based on the Blues Brothers movies, ate great cajun food there. I didn't eat that much though since I was hungover.

2. Roadtrip to Las Vegas with three stops; one in Joshua Tree, one in Laughlin and one at Hoover Dam: Joshua Tree was like... In the middle nowhere. Nothing much to say about that other then the desert was nice to look at for 5 minutes, then it got old. Laughlin also known as minivegas was fun. My first time at a real casino. Hoover Dam was... Uneventful.

3. Las Vegas: Awesome!! So much fun. We trekked our way into the Hilton hotel and got the Star Trek experience. OK, me and my sister aren't nerds or anything, but it was much fun. We're familiar with the series and have met a few actors. I ate Targ ribs at Quarks. *laughs*

4. Back in LA: For some odd reason a conflict arised with the man we were staying with, so we decided to cut our stay in LA short and go up to Seattle to visit relatives.

5. Seattle: And we arrive in what seems to be exactly like home. The nature, the amount of norwegians in the area and the fact that we got traditional norwegian christmas food when we arrived gave us a taste of home. There we just chilled at parties and I got to spend most of the time playing pool.

6. Our trip came to an end after a looooooong sleepdeprived flight. After a few hours of whining we found a doubleseat and we could finally lay down, and so I fell soundly asleep at the dutch airport.

Any questions related to this short resume is welcomed. Missed you all, hope you missed me. *winks*

Oh, I read about "harem anime" on wikipedia... I guess it's alright, I haven't really seen a show like that. The closest I get is reading a few pocketbooks of Love Hina.

My favorite fansubs are:

Ai Yori Aoshi, Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~, Ichigo 100%, Midori no Hibi, and well maybe more, I haven't watched all series I've downloaded until the end. :o

Maybe Gunslinger Girl would suit you if you're looking for action and Mecha. All the others won't be your taste I guess. ;)

I've heard of all those animes you have listed here. I have been considering Slayers and Gunslinger Girl, they are just not a priority. I have pretty high expectations to animes and have watched a few that has dissapointed me immensly considering the praise some have given (Naruto and Cowboy Bebop to mention a couple).

Oh, I do watch drama anime... Actually, the only animes I try to avoid is sh?nen-ai, and long tedious animes that continue forever.

Actually, I got hooked on Maria-sama ga Miteru after the first episode. *smiles faintly* Going on? Well, the storyline continues and focuses on the yamayurikai and it's members relationships. I'm not that good on retelling, so take a look at wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maria-sama_ga_Miteru).

Yes, I'm a woman, but I like being social with those around me even on the internet. And I do believe some people find it refreshing that they can talk to me about anything. Theology, media, politics, history, culture, languages, philosophy, sexuality, psychology, science and the supernatural. *smirks* I will of course refrain from speaking of any subject that is taboo on the forum.

Hehehe, the power of evil is an useful ally! XD I've infected my brother with animes and he started liking them as well, so we both bought anime-DVDs. Unfortunately I now discovered the fansubs, so buying DVDs is over now (only exception is "Magister Negi Magi", I started buying the collector's edition's boxes, I'll buy them all until the end ^^). But yes DVDs are definetly expensive - most of the DVDs were bought by my brother, I couldn't have afforded them all. >.>;; On austrian TV you won't find anime either, except the animes like Pok?mon and Sailormoon they played back then.

Slayers is some real fun!! XD And well, Gunslinger isn't that much "fun", but the background story is quite good, I liked it very much although there's no romance (*cough cough* "almost no romance" *cough* Spoiler ;P). About Naruto and Cowboy Bebop, I don't even know these. >.>; Okay I've heard the titles, but I never saw an episode of these. Just because they're so popular doesn't mean I or you have to watch them, right? *grins* My brother bought all DVDs of "Inuyasha" (and there are quite some ._.) and started watching with me. It's good, but I've lost my interest for it by now. It's because the whole anime seems to go on for eternity! Oh Jesus Christ Almighty, come to an end now Inuyasha!! :p

I thoroughly enjoy talking about sexual issues and experiences as well as fetishes and more. I learn something new every time. It's not for everyone though. Some are shy, some are restricted by religious beliefs or social upbringing and some just don't have experience.

Well, I had an ISDN internet connection a while... Besides, I couldn't download while playing SWAT3 now could I? Also I used WinMX and similar programs to download, and the speed varied... Getting a 20kb download was pretty good. *chuckles* Did I mention my 30GB's of music?

There is a mensa test I like better then this one, but I can't find it on the internet anymore. It's a danish test that measures your ability to see patterns. It's like that one segment in the Tickle test where your supposed to figure out the last image, just that the whole test is like that. It's very good, because it's not based on knowledge you have learned or your ability to calculate.

I see I need to rejuvenate my thread again, no one has posted in two days! :O I have started playing Battlefield2 again. Slowly and steadily I pick up pace. I totally suck ass of course, but I'll get back in shape. I finally got a medal I was hunting for though...

I myself have been studying at a school for Budinkan Ninpo Taijitsu (aka Ninjitsu) for 6 years now. From experience I have learnt it isn't for everyone though.
I often see new starters every week, keen and eager in abundance then after a couple of classes I never see that person again.

I suggest this discipline as it teaches you to think beyond defence, to observe your surroundings, self awareness and to make use of your environment in such a way it can be easily integrated into your every day life. I have learned the way my body moves and adapted the discipline to match. I will admit after a year I started focusing on the spiritual side of the training which in turn assists with the training.

It's something I would recommend looking into.

EDIT: I just bawled my eyes out after watching Mai Otome episode 18... Gosj, I can be the sappiest girl around. Mai HiME would be "season 1". =)

For some odd reason I can't see the post I put in here with the youtube video and stuff... Oh well, no great loss. :P Yeah, I'm back home now, and I'm so glad I live here! *chuckles* Bergen has the most rain in all of Norway... There was no snow there now (it is here) but it rained every day we were down there. It changed between like small drips to downpoars.. That was like the only change in the weather. Apparently, according to a local, at one time it rained 88 days straight!!!! I mean, WTF!

Anyways, the concert was awesome! Dolly Parton's last visit to Norway was in like.. 1978, and the woman is in her 60's now. I doubt she will ever return to my country, so it was imperative that we hauled a** and got down there. We all got up and sang along to her song "9 to 5" and I loved almost all of the songs she sang. Some were her hits and some songs she sang I had never heard before... I need to get a hold of a collection of her songs. =) For someone who has been singing and writing songs for 50 years, her voice is really powerful. LOVED IT! :D

Unfortunately we weren't alowed to film nor take any pictures during the concert, and non digital photos were taken during the trip. My sister and I will probably scan the pictures and eventually make a travel letter when we get around to it. So when it's done, if anyone is interested, I could make it on the forum. ;)

I'm not one to quarrel. People I meet have my respect from day one, all one needs to do is to be of such a character that one is able to retain it (only one person in the US*T clan managed to lose my respect). Over time, when I trust the person/s integrity and it seems like a mutual thing I befriend the person. Someone I lose the respect for can never hope to regain it unfortunately. =) Though not having my respect doesn't mean I will behave in an unfriendly manner. It just means they will never become someone I'd call a friend. I don't see a reason to be nasty to anyone.

Actually, the first clan I was in I founded myself. [DKS] on SWAT3 1.7 patch. Everyone had gotten the new patch 2.1 but I stayed in 1.7 for like two years before moving on to 2.1. We weren't many people there, but my clan peaked with around 30 members. After two years I shut my clan down. Creating an all girls clan wouldn't be impossible. What would be hard would be finding out for sure that the person/s were female. =) I guess picture confirmation would be required.

Through my years in Swat3 I knew of 16 women/girls that I personally conversed with that were somewhat confirmed actually being female. Sinse I tend to forget a few I bet there were 5 more that I met randomly. Those 16 were regular players in clans and so forth. I still stay in touch with a handful of them.

It's an honor to have a PARA member with me. *bows deeply* I'm starting to feel all nostalgic now that you are around.

For those of you who don't know of the [PARA] clan, they are one of the elite clans out there. On SWAT3 surely one of the most respected and serious coop clans. Actually you guys were so serious it gave me second thoughts about joining you! *chuckles* Through all time, SCC and PARA were the clans I got along with best and had some of the most memorable games with.
I remember quite well how my pride was scarred for life in a PARA game. *laughs* I accidentally shot two officers in a game and I was mortified with fear and shame. Hahaha! Gawd, I wish I would forget that one day. ;)

Through my years in Swat3 I knew of 16 women/girls that I personally conversed with that were somewhat confirmed actually being female. Sinse I tend to forget a few I bet there were 5 more that I met randomly. Those 16 were regular players in clans and so forth. I still stay in touch with a handful of them.

*pictures a goat running around with it's fur all melted* You know, I somewhat agree that the female drivers are stupid, slow ad wreckless. But the male drivers are too aggressive, wreckless and downright homicidal. In Norway there is a great number of round-a-bouts and two laned roads are very few and far between even on the freeway. The landscape makes for dangerous roads with the mountainside on one end and a plummet into the 700meters deep fjord on the other side. The longest stretch of straight road in all of Norway is 8km long (and unfortunately far away from me), so that should tell you one needs to be attentive. Additional to this, most of the people in Norway apparently don't know which lane to choose when entering a round-a-bout. Half of Norways population drives continously over the speedlimit and the rest drives below. I have adapted to all these facts and joined one side of population. I drive continously over the speedlimit, and I get pissed off if I get stuck behind one who doesn't. I'm aggressive and every chance I get to pass slow cars I take (if the car happens to be dads Mercedes it happens a little too often). All in my family agrees that the best way to try avoiding crashes in round-a-bouts is to drive straight trough as fast as you can before any other people get's to enter it. And we all (my mom, my sister, my dad and me) curse female drivers. *laughs*

Me and some other people had lots of fun looking at the womens profiles and pictures and of course their english. I know it's not right to pick on peoples lack of skills with other languages, but when you are clearly fishing like crazy for a western man "with a big heart and a big wallet" you should be alowed to laugh at their lack of tact. :P A woman hunting shouldn't be as open about their interest in the wallet, ya know? Unfortunately the bad news is that I have to upgrade my computer. My graphics card is powerful enough to run it, it's just missing some shader technology. I'm getting the woman who buildt my computer over on friday to check it out. It might just be me doing something wrong! :confused:

I think delta force one, was one of my favourite in multiplayer, I had my first clan experience and international clan war experience too. We played so late to meet US people with the machine gun on the shoulders... and we had 28K or 56K connection, sniping was an art with the lag, you have to shoot 10 or 15 meter before the real position of the man when you shoot at 500m or 600m... Thats was really fun, all the night killing my ISP credit on this game, with Roger wilco (old old voice comm) and my pentium 75Mhz... ahh great oldies !

Well, no one has accused me of having bad taste in anything other then in music. So there. *smirks* I remember being totally obsessed with Resident Evil... I actually drew the maps of the levels by hand and wrote up a desciption of every item and enemy of every room...

I've never really tried C&C... The only strategy game thing I've had is Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri and Starcraft (since I only recently got the whole game, it couldn't be included in my top 10 list). And unfortunately SWAT4 isn't among the top 10 of all times either, it can be nr.11. :p

i had that with my wrist when i turn my hand around you hear and feel a cracking sound and feel it moving lol.whened to the hospital with it like 3 times and couldn't work for a month and all they did gave me a shot with a needle with something in and that fixed it.

I don't like doctors... So I tend to avoid doctorvisits and hospitals unless it's a crisis.

I remember quite well the last time I went to the hospital with pains so serious I was laying on the floor crying out, begging for someone to help me. Haha, I think I was like 12-13 years old. My dad got tired of the noice I made so he took me to the hospital. After that horrible visit though, I swore I'd never go to the hospital again. *grins* I'm scarred...

I made a supportbrace out of cardboard which will minimize movement in the joint. I'm glad your wrist is fixed, Wes. =)

Alright, I've bought my new graphics card and it's looking pretty sweet from my end, ATI Radeon x1950 PRO (http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=312&type=expert). :D All I've been able to do so far is testing that R6: Vegas actually ran. But haven't been able to play any games as my sister has been hogging the computer ALL day (I'm on the old computer now). *grumbles* I'm loking forward to testing BF2, SWAT4 and Vegas for real. I'm so happy!! *sings* "Goodness gracious great balls of fire!"

OK, so I've tried all the games and it works fine. I think I'm in love with Vegas... It combines SWAT4, Battlefield2 and Splinter Cell in a way. The story mode game is really hard though, and I keep tossing grenades when I want to mirror doors... But I guess I'll get used to it all in the end. Good thing: When you take damage it automaticly heals itself if you give it enough time... If you continue to take damage you will eventually die. You vision get blurred and discoloured... It's pretty fanzy. You are able to bring two primary weapons and you can pick up weapons from the ground. You automaticly pick uo ammo that is compatible with your weapon. Bad thing: The AI's are pretty intelligent, but they don't react to shattering glass so I can just "snipe" people with my suppressed assault rifle and the rest won't take much notice other then looking at their fallen comrade/s and scratching their heads.
The good outweighs the bad and the graphics are amazing. =)

I've encounterd a little problem with my SWAT4 today... I'm unable to load server lists! The whole game freezes and my computer seems to have much difficulty registering what the hell is going on. It wont shut the game down with alt+F4, but ctrl+alt+del will sometimes minimize the game so I can end the program. This is somewhat disturbing, but I tested direct entry from xFire, which worked fine. I also tested singleplayer and hosting my own server, all worked normally. So, any hints and tips about this? It can't really be my new graphics card either since I played the game fine the day before.

Yeah, the game works fine now. Been creating my character on R6 Vegas.. What an awesome feature! You can really make your own character that stands out. Sweet!
What else? Well, it happend to be my birthday on the 5th... It was great... I got my presents: Cake, X-Files season 1 DVD's and a future headset... Actually I was impressed with the cinematics, the music and the actors performance. If not lacking in storyline as it spans over a relatively short period of time... It's like a "short" novel... A d*** well written one. The costumes, the settings... The lack of exadgeration when it came to the battles themselves (i.e. hollywood explosions). The cool effects... But what struck me first was the professional feel of the filming and cinematics.. The use of colours and angles... the brutal reality of hack and slash action... Even the lovescenes were tasteful... No, I deffinately give it a 5 out of 6.

Yeah, it is deffinately the game with the most crashes. If it isn't you who's crashing to desktop, it's the server that goes down. Too bad really as the game itself is addicting to the extreme.

What game mode do you usually play, Asakura-chan? And do you play it often? I tried team sharpshooter, and it was alright for a couple of rounds until they did a 2 vs 4 thing and spawnkilled like crazy. =)
Usually I play COOP Terrorist Hunt or COOP Story... Unfortunately neither me nor Tribal (whom I usually play with) can host a server, so I'm kinda searching for a potential host. Now that I think about it, I want someone to take a screenshot of me and Tribal posing. *grins*

Yes my officer does look spooky, but she is supposed to do so. ;) When I saw that breathing mask I immediately had to think about the anime movie "Jin-Ro" and the armor and uniform of the soldiers (http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6006/img1321459921ig5.jpg) of the movie. They look fearsome but still impressive in my opinion, so I tried to copy the look. Unfortunately I won't get any red-glowing eyes without the night googles which just look awful. ^.-
And I was indeed using the G36 with ACOG-scope. It is one of my favorites, though I have no standard-gear in weaponry, I just switch it as I please.

Well just like in SWAT4, I prefer the COOP-modes. But I've also joined other game modes, especially Sharpshooter and Team Sharpshooter. I wasn't doing well though. Only exception was a Team Sharpshooter-match 4 vs. 4 with Dam-map I think. I was luring on the roof with a sniper rifle and shot several enemies. And because I was hiding very well, they didn't find out where I was. :cool: But being a sniper isn't fulfilling for me, additionally my "exact aim" is handicapped by my wireless mouse which causes the mouse cursor to move a pixel all two or three seconds although I don't move the mouse. -.-;
I guess I'll have to get an old-fashioned wired mouse back.

When I see the guys with facemasks I automaticly think Sub-Zero.. Hehe, he's cool though, so no worries there. Yes, the night vision thing does look horrible... I haven't tried the G36 yet, maybe I'll try it today. I usually use the G3 with a 6x rifle scope... I always have the rifle scope, I guess it's my sniperblood working it's magic.

AGH!! I know what your talking about. I have a wireless mouse as well and it's annoying me to the core of my being. I just can't justify buying a new mouse right now. Oh, but I do love sniping though... One shot, one kill. In the singleplayer I always carried one assault rifle and one sniper rifle, I should really finish that.

OOOh, I so finished the singleplayer part in R6. Now that I had some training from TerroristHunt it wasn't so hard... Hard enough though. I'm not going to try finishing it in realistic difficulty mode just yet, say.. In a few years if I got nothing better to do. :lol:

That is actually a lame attempt on drawing a german shepherd (why it has a black spot on the cheek)... It's my favourite breed as I've grown up with it. I'll perhaps post a pic of one of them later.

I haven't experienced such a thing. Our first dog was a leader dog, he was sharp as nails and he actually did bite my mother when he was a young dog, it was a struggle to settle who was the leader. Not surprisingly my mom won. He had been ill treated before we got him though, locked up in a dark room. He wasn't a vicious dog, he was the best pet ever. I grew up with him, and he knew we were little toddlers and were very patient with us. My sister tried to ride him like a horse and fell off.. *lol* A police officer approached us asking if we were interested in giving him away/selling, as he was policedog material. But we didn't want to give him away as he was family. I believe he got put down when he was 13 years old. The second dog we had was a shy type... He'd rather hide behind my mothers legs then taking point to protect. He was very kind, so very smart, and I miss him so. We had to put him down when he was 7-8 I believe, because of illness.

From what I know... A golden retriever is more likely to bite then a german shepherd (this is something I heard once in a statistic many years ago, when they were trying to explain that the myth around some dogs were false)... And a retriever is looked at as more of a family dog then a shepherd. Dogs have personalities and traits making them sharper/more aggressive or more shy/mellow kind... It so depends on the owner how the dog develops. You can form a fighting monster or a devoted and loving pet... When a pet turns on it's owner it is either physicly unwell or it has been ill treated somehow.

Final words: Saying that a german sheperd is any more dangerous then any other dog is not fair of you as it is not facts.

Well, actually... I took like... 4-5 years of riding instruction.. And got to the point where we started jumping fences. Unfortunately I got spooked by one of the horses, and so didn't ride for years. Now I'm slowly starting to ride again. We only have one horse and it's mainly my sisters animal. He's VERY hard to ride properly (and my sister has international competition ambitions) so I get up to cool him down after the training. =) The picture is of my sister on our stallion Le Picot G, and Irene has just won the regional championship in dressage. I'm the photographer of course.

Four to five years of instruction?? Okay I'm not that experienced I have to admit. I think I would come to like six months of exercise. ^.^; I once got spooked as well when I was told by the horse's owner to raise my arms into the air as an exercise while riding a horse. But then the horse suddenly rose onto its back legs and I was almost thrown backwards. Fortunately I was able to grab the "seat" (don't know the english word and don't want to look it up right now :p). I was shocked for some moments and the teacher had to calm the horse down. Hmm I think this was my last ride experience, I cannot remember clearly though...
The photo of your sister is well made! She really looks like a winner. =) You said she won a championship - is she going to turn even more professional in riding horses, joining other contests?

I believe my sisters intention is to reach the Olympics. Buying a horse that can attend an olympic event costs a s***load of money though and my sister needs to train for a very serious and professional trainer to get to the level... But she has the guts and the will... So I believe she will get there.

It was many years ago. We were going to buy a horse and so we needed to testride it... The horse ran out with me and I had no control... It didn't help that the owner told me it was really sensitive in the mouth so I was really hesitant about pulling the reins. Well, I didn't fall off (I've never fallen off), but it gave me a scare and I was humiliated. Bad combination. *laughs* The horse we have now though, is our first stallion, and it's kind of dangerous. I saw with my own eyes Le Picot went up on his hind legs, with my sister on his back, and WALKED many meters. Let's say most people were watching in awe. Unfortunatly I was just staring also in sted of filming it...

And besides, lately now I've seen more and more people voicing their concerns about how we need to be cured of our mental disease (even that is the mentality people had 30 years ago, so many are stuck in the past)... She is my sister and I believe in her. Me and her started riding at the same time. I was... 9 years old I believe, and my sister was 12 (she's now 27). She has been riding continously and have owned several horses through the years. She has also fallen off AND thrown herself off the horses several times. Falling from a horse is very dangerous, but the few times it was needed she managed to avoid injuring herself severely. She told me about one time she threw herself off because the horse ran off and she was unable to stop the panicked animal... And so was nearing a pretty steep downhill... She saw no option then to throw herself off. Unfortunately she managed to land on a stone... Fortunately though she was wearing a safety west and helmet, so she only got a couple of bruises. I have heard of people getting thrown head first... A few breaking their necks (but surviving). The latest insident I heard of happend a couple of days ago. A man was attending a jumping competition, his wife and child sitting among the audience. On the first fence the horse miscalculated, got his feet into the fence and did a salto. The bad part was that the man didn't get thrown, so the horse landed on his back on the other side, with the rider being crushed underneath. At first glance people thought he was dead, but he started seizuring. They called an ambulance and he got away from the ordeal with a broken shoulder and a serious concussion. Accidents happen.

The point with Shizuru is her breathtaking beauty, her calm nature and her graciousness. Under the festival she turns into a killingmachine... But thats beside the point. *snickers* She's deadly, driven, intelligent and has a sarcastic humor... I'm in love... *laughs* She's hiding behind a smile, never showing her constant loneliness and sorrow to anyone... You really feel her pain. Her bloodred eyes, her naginata (the weapon of choice for the noble women through history) and her child, Kyohime are so captivating. Her ability to love someone so totally and devoting so much of herself to that person, holding back and just accepting her own pain... Living with a flicker of hope that is in the tv-series eventually violently crushed... She's a mystery... She's so human... And I'd like you to capture something of what I have mentioned and enhance it in a signature.

I haven't really lost any friendships so far, but people have drifted away from me... And those few I have fallen for have rejected me completly. One of my friends came on to me, but she was so very drunk... She wanted to experience it... And I had to reject her... Not that I didn't have feelings for her... It just would have been so very wrong of me to take advantage of the situation. The first time needs to be with someone you have real feelings for. Gawd, I'm so noble I almost make myself hurl. *laughs* So far, three people have fallen in love with me over the internet. One is deffinately a female (I'll tell you about her later if you want to hear), the second I can't verify one way or the other (I like to think it's a woman, but I have been fooled once in the past by a highly intelligent male) and the third is a male. He even knows I'm gay, but fell for me anyways... I find myself very flatterd by it, and I feel very bad for having to reject his feelings. He is my friend, and he feared losing my friendship more then anything else... I'm not a cruel person, so I try to help him through it the best I can. He has been so very kind to me in the past years and I will repay him now by giving the support he needs.

That friend in the ridinghall, she is a good friend... Unfortunately she lacks self esteem like most girls do. I'm pretty sure she is straight... And I know she looks up to my sister, and for some odd reason she likes me. I flirt with her, give her compliments and support her. She's not really someone I'm attracted to, I just want her to see that she's a good person and people will like both her looks and her personality. She has the best humor in the world. Seriously, she's so funny, and we laugh a lot together. I just hope she will see her worth soon. There is someone else I'm attracted to at the stables though... Probably straight, I don't know her that well. *chuckles*

Well I'd like to know about "secret forums" as well. o.O Matt is hiding a part of his forums away from us? Maybe he's planning something for world domination there! XD

I believe he said "Secrets", and so was talking about a part of the forum where secrets were revealed. If it is an exisitng thread or if he merely suggested such a thread should be created, I don't know. =)
