make it like "New messages (7)"
or "No new messages"
So you know if someone posted to a thread.

It already does, mate.

If you click any name at the buttom of the site, and it's more than an hour since they did anything, it will say "Last activity : 1 hour ago". If it's less than one hour ago, it will say "Last Activity : 1 minute ago, reading thread "what does the person do". :)


As the feature is already implemented, I'll close the thread, and I would like to ask that you maybe try out our site for some days and get acquinted with it, before suggesting further new features, that we already have. ;)

I think this is a good suggestion, with some tweaks needed though. I should clear up first though, that I assume you are talking about the "New Posts" menu link above.

If so, I think it would be a good idea if it said "New Posts (None)" if no new threads were posted since last time.

If a number of new posts has been posted, I would suggest that it numbers the number of threads containing unread posts, so the number matches the actual number of lines you will see. So even if there's 200 unread posts, in 17 threads, the number would be 17, not 200, as you would see 17 lines. :)

With that tweak in mind, I think this is a good idea. Thank you for the suggestion. :)

Come on .... most ppl I'm sure can find out things that you can do on a certain forum, just have to click a button to see what it does... and what features we have already.

Maybe I'm a bit harsh...? Maybe I usually notice these things on my own so it annoys me a bit when others don't... :D
