Hello humans,
No more than 5 minutes ago i was stunned upon joining the Pro server.
I got the message i was banned. I, one of the most tactical guys of SWAT (if i may say so myself) am banned from tactic's heaven...
haven't tested this on any other server -yet, but i'm 100% sure that nobody on my IP (unless remotly hacked into) has played SWAT4 but me.
maybe it's a range ban? anyway, here are the first 3 parts of my I, to check for that: 83.84.134.* (4th part is available for those who know where).

i looked also on my ip at home as i live in holland to
well Tyrope, i have warned you before ... many times.... and finally you got what you have .... global ban from all SOG servers .... and why... cause that crappy pump-gun you carried....

i used to have 195 aswell... but we switched ISP's to get 5x as fast internet for nearly no extra money. :(
it's sad...
I'l remove the ip, and if for a reason your ip changes i can always add it again ...

I just want to bring to your attention that those are some very large ranges to be banning. :) They equievelate a class B network, which is what most entire ISPs have, and there are 4 of them. Those four bans in total actually ban as many as 258.064 individual IP adresses between them.
So may I suggest that we add Zion to our database, and let the bot handle him, or atleast find out which range he's actually using (normally, as opposed to rarely)?
Also, does he even play Swat still or is he under some rock, crying and cursing the world? If he isn't playing any more, I guess we're also safe to unban him? :)

If he still play swat, i do not know but i als odon't want to remove the ranges for now ...
If soem wanna play and is the range i can add exceptions now, as serge helped me found out how to do it ...

Okay, no worries - just wanted to make sure that you're aware. :) I got the distinct feeling Zion would leave Swat, but that might just be him talking to keep his mouth warm :)
Would you mind posting a "how to add exceptions thread" in the GC board (SA only, I assume) so we can also let people play if you are offline, mate? :)

you have to edit the server files for it ...
Also Deka knows and he's the forum bot :p ...

Just saves the hassle. If there is one banned being Tyrope, there could well be many more = bad reputation for SOG, on the chances a player will join our coop servers when a) he said he wont be in SWAT 4 from now on, and
b) he has never to my knowledge ever joined these servers before?
Just a thought anyhow.

Sure if it's on coop then i agree ofcourse, but you cannot take anything thats has been said out of frustation ...
