Am I the only one not really getting a feel for the "retro" wargames? Why go back in time? To create something new? It's OLD! Slower vehicles, slower loading, less ammo, less... Everything. *frowns* It was all about power in numbers.

The graphics does look better, and the fact that your environment is destructible beyond the bridges, is also a good thing. But to me, the jump doesn't seem far enough. I need something extra... Some NEW coop experience related to wargames that goes up and beyond the thrill in BF2, not just the same in a new wrapping. So, I would like to see some real gameplay videos of BF1943 before I decide if it's anything close to interesting. :sunny:

Lol, I think 1943 is a terrible name for a sequel. The game looks really cartoony, like a super mario type adventure. Graphics look great though.

I have been hearing rumors that a few battlefield games will be released soon. This of course is one of them. They need to make something in between bf2 and bf2142.

looking realy cool the Graphic, but as Miss said, why warm up old things ... my Favourite has been Desert Combat, yeah that was real Fun for me :)

Spot on, I've never enjoyed old war games just because I buy these games for the awesome factor, like tearing enemies a new one with helicopter gun ships, whereas old games usually have slow, inaccurate weapons.

I think it is interesting to get a feel for how much technology has changed from 1940s to now. It's just amazing how advanced humans make technology to kill each other.

From what I've read, this game will have 2 factions, with 3 or 4 kits for each faction, and 3 maps. And only 32 players. In an interview they even said that every kit would be able to do every kind of task, be it destroying a tank, a plane, infantry, or whatever. The only thing that this game has, and BF1942 hadn't, is graphics. Everything else got worse instead of better.

Ew! That's just bad right there. That means, in my opinion, that Battlefield 2 is BETTER with it's multiple kits forcing more teamplay and 64 player servers. *roars* I'm so not purchasing 1943 based on that. 3 maps.... What are they thinking?
