It's come to mine, as well as other other active members attention, that the SOG Battlefield 2 squad is not getting enough outside attention. Particularly myself and Paul are interested in starting to try and get our names out there. Unfortunately, unlike other games, recruiting is a lot harder due to the ridiculous amount of servers which renders the SOG BF2 server empty most of the time.

We really need input from everyone here, we need ideas how to kick start the BF2 aspect of SOG through free advertising, the Battlefield 2 forum has a specific section designated to clan advertising, I suggest we start utilizing spaces such as this on numerous Battlefield fan sites. I'm also interested from people who don't play Battlefield, Matt has clearly created a large clan base, any advice on how to become more popular is extremely helpful.

It's surprising how many people have been in successful clans, why was it so successful, luck or just being smart about how you set up the clan?

well its like anything mate. We have a squad but a very small one and its not going well.

On that note i think we have to keep going, id like to see other people, member's like pepper, killmaster maybe join us... nicoliese and matt, could maybe get involved in bf2.

All hope lol

Iv tried before convincing wes and i didnt get anywhere so thats ok.

We will have gordon back soon i hope so lets keep it together. Bf2 is a great battle game, in my opinion. And to add, the way sog trains i think is the way to train. :p

Thats all il say lol

Well there's no point giving something up so soon into the web. We have fun in our training and the sog humour that even follows some of its finer member's (paul ., and mike, gc's)

Or in my case taking all the limelight during missions(bf2 and shat4 +tss) which usually gets me owned first. but hey go down laughing from the ownage.

Don't say that - I might get BF2... :p I've considered it alot actually. :D

Anyhow, that wouldn't bring any outside exposure.

I think it's a valid point, and I also think it was what we struggled with on our last BF2 attempt. The Battlefield forum is a good idea, in my opinion. I would like to stress though, that any official adverticing of SOG BF2 should be ran past Paul or Gordon first. :)

Apart from that, you guys could visit other servers too? Remember that it's not allowed to recruit from other peoples servers, but that doesn't mean you can't show up and show off the tags ;)

I left a post on EA's clan forums for BF2 directing them to this site if they are interested in joining in on the fun. :)

I intend to make more this weekend, thanks to Mr blobby for his help. ;)
