Well after a full 8 hour shift at work listening to |SOG|Radio i was really shocked at the quality of the ad's we are using. after all they only reflect us...
So after some thought i decided why not get us the |SOG| members and forum vips to record them that way each dj can pick the one he thinks is best.
Now guys there has to be some rules here after all
So please keep it brief and concise and try to mention the site and / or the clan and above all no swearing.
Here is my first attempt and no laughing plz :p
as DJ, i have made my own... i like it, if you wanna hear it, tune into the radio when i'm hosting ;)

Yeah that would be a good idea... maybe also make ads about the games or some hardware :D My vioce isn't good for the public so maybe I'll pass but someone can catch my idea freely :)

Was I the only one coming here expecting inappropriate porn adverts on the sog radio or something like that? But I agree, lets pillage the person who made this advert, burn 'em at the stake i say.
uhm, blobby, i don't think you understood the post very well... we're talking about ads like "You're listening to SOG radio, visit our website at sog-team.co.uk." not any outside ads... let alone "adult content" areas of life ;)

I'm fully aware once I'd downloaded the audio file, but my expectations were of something slightly more controversial.
:lol2: ^^^ :D
I made lots of my own last year and use those if I broadcast. However, would be good to get more variety.
I agree, I used to have some I made myself until they got wiped in august do to my PC crash :(
I'll try to make some and be sure to play them when hosting. I think your ad is a nice one btw Playerx :)
Also if anyone wants some ads just let me know and I'll see what I can do. :)

Cheers tc but i think its awful but heyho.
Anyway this was the idea to try to get us all to discuss the ad's and have members make their ads available to all the dj's etc.
Ty & Bourne have now both played my ad on air and i got a ribbing at work everytime :) They all agree it was better the MS sam & Co tho!
So why not all the dj's with ad's recored etc stick them on here so all the other dj's can use till they get their own sorted then. Just a thot so were all on the same page :)
Have a ball, if I hear any I like I'll add them in ;)

Ok so my work mates having heard my ad have said that i altho i do have a face for radio i definately dont have the voice for it :P
So after some googling i found this (http://www.radiodaddy.com) site which is a forum of voiceover artists that will record req's etc
I have posted a request for some1 to record a station jingle that maybe we can all use to give a bit more of a uniform feel to the shows i was thinking along the lines of
"Your listening to S.O.G. radio" or
"Check out our site at www.sog-team.co.uk" or
"S.O.G. The #1 Clan for Co-Op"
If we all yous the same station jingle i may sound better if yous know what i mean. But we can still have the Playerx, Mike, Tim ones as our own. Well yous can i've ask for a recorded 1 for me too as i sound awful :P
Just thot that this might be a good idea

well i just thot that having a station "ID Jingle" might sound a bit more professional so to speak, also it think that sam or anna sound a bit robotic which lets face it they are after all. :)
But ill post the jingles if i get them and the other dj's can use them or not its up to them
The key to great success with making your own ads is always talk when recording as if you have someone shoving a big stick up you know where ;)
The "Over" smile is needed in order to sound enthusiastic and upbeat :)
