Swat 4 not shown in supported games as guest

Hey guys i was browsing the site from work yesterday without logging in and noticed that swat4 thread/lobby is not shown in the supported games section when your a guest. logged in and hey presto it appeared. Just thot this should be looked at asap if no one is on it already. Guest are a massive potential source of funding and as we are a swat 4 clan....

Anyway just to heads up if not already know

Its a requirement that people register before they can browse or post in certain forums, this ensures people make somewhat of an effort if they wanna view the sections they require ... How does it take to register ? took me a matter of a minute or 2.... if they are in need of viewing the forum or posting in a topic they can register ;)

Yeah i know that and understand why its there but surely allowing guest to at least view the swat 4 thread would be ok as it doesnt really look good. sort of suggests we dont support swat4 on forum. check it out log out and go to forum index.

Plus if you cant view a forum as a guest how do you know it exists.

Ahhh but before u are registered you are told you need to register to view or post in certain topics. I think its fine and feel people should register if they even wanna see the forum let alone the SWAT4 section :)

I know that this is an old thread guys but i never really got an answer thats clear from our leaders as to why we "hide" our swat4 forum from the public.

After all it contains a lot more now than it did when i posted this such as the Academy and our Public Tourney threads and forums.

i cannot fix it as i dont have direct access/permission to it and i dont gonna spend 5 days in searching if i can make it in other way

however what we can do is:

- make the main swat4 forum visible
- restrict viewing other sub-forums (they will appear on the list but to view user must be logged in)

Well if non logged in users could at least view the Swat4 forum that would be all i think that would be needed mate. :)

I think the reason it is made in the way it is, it to promote registrations, i.e. you have to register and in turn, you get a cookie from the cookie bag of Swat4 forum.

Although I see your point, I also think that on the contrary, there's some information there, that might not be suitable to see on unregistered accounts = google, yahoo, etc. For instance, the adress of our TeamSpeak server would become google-able.

So in my mind, it makes plenty of sense the way it it. :)

The Swat4 forum can be set to be viewed by guests, and the sub-forums can be left out. The address the TS and others are only in the Member's lounge anyway to my knowledge, which is only viewable to ppl registered. I don't see why this can't be done. If there is something we don't want the bots to pick up then we can simply move the thread or edit parts out, not that hard. :)
