In which location would you like to see the new bf2 server hosted? At this time they only have six options to choose from (the other locations are back ordered).
If you go to this site:bf2 demo servers (http://www.gameservers.com/game_servers/battlefield_2_ranked.php) they provide a list of demo servers so you can check your ping.
I picked my preferred locations of course all 3 places are closer to me :D but doesn't mean I'll get the best ping, but most likely :)

Go to the link above and get the IP's and join the servers manually. The Port # for the servers is 16567.
All the locations are good for me. But I chose California. Because it had the lowest ping
it depends on ping i will have to those locations, lol
I believe Atlanta, Georgia is on the East coast... Which would make more sense for those of us that are European. The closer the server, the better ping, correct?

Well New York/New Jersey is right on the east coast so that might be the most preferred, as it's usually the closest server to your location that has better ping, but it also depends on connection, etc...

I have no idea what you are doing :lol: Are you joining the servers and playing for a few minutes. If not that's what you have to do.
I need some more feedback on the possible server location. So please make a selection soon as this poll ends on November 15. I currently have four voters.

In Counterstrike Source i usually ping around 80-110 on my usual New York servers which is playable in BF2 as well. I think it makes sense that the vast majority are European here and the closer the better i think.If the server is in NY i will reinstall and give it a try at some point.

I just played on one of the demo servers in New York and I still get decent ping. So to make it fair to all you European gamers I have picked New York for the server location.

Well New York would also be the best location for you. The bf2 server is currently up and running. I just have to configure it. It should be fully functional in a few hours.
Server is picked and up now. :lock:
