Well starting out it will be mostly SOG playing games together. And I dont think any of us are cheaters. I am almost a captain in bf2 and I have never really had much trouble with cheaters. But its your choice

no due to graphics card capability

Paul

if all members just want to be negative about bf2, chances are we can recruit from there in time. As im RM anyway, thats one thing id be doing anyway. ;)

Cheaters and hackers altho i never came accross many b4.. if we do get any then they just get banned. There are people out there that acually want to game the way its meant to be played. I feel a mass recruiting session in the pipeline.. All we need is the few that are interested to come forward and help out promote sog within bf2. Its a great game tactically and with
A bit of patience we can do this. ;)

:goodpost:
some true sentiments in there Garcia. i would be up for it think i have BF somewhere.

What we all need to remember is that at the moment 3 servers are down due to insufficient funding. A BF squad as Garcia points out would allow greater recruitment and access too more funding options.

Bring it on

Let me know if this starts

Maybe for me for the following reasons;

a) Not my genre of preferred games
b) PC doesnt run the demo well nevermind the game

Will consider getting it though and doing something about those problems should this all work out for SOG. I support Gordon 100%

Paul
06-11-08, 11:11 PM
lol matt you double posted! First time iv seen that. :o

And yeah once it takes off ofc gordon can show us all how its done. ;)

Anyway xs, it will be independantly funded by gordon and another source. ;)

Although I'm not SOG, I wouldn't mind joining you boys for a fair fight. I've clocked a bunch of hours on that game... I believe 600+, so there wouldn't be a problem for me. Though I'm dreading the massive install. *laughs* Just kidding. I like how diverse that game is. You prefer being a pilot? Chauffeur? Repairman or Medic? We need them all and of course a great commander to lead the team to victory. I really do like how this game angles towards teamwork from all departments... Because, if you can't work together, you will most definitively lose.

My favourite part: Go up against impossible odds and win (person vs. tank or tank vs helicopter)!

I've played BF1942 for a looong time and i loved it. But BF2... I only played the Demo and i loved it, too, but i never bought it...

So, only one question: Are there any cracked Servers like in CoD4? :>

Paul
07-11-08, 05:22 PM
yeah thers loads but ours wont be one. ;)

BourneUK
07-11-08, 05:26 PM
Mope there are hundreds of cracked servers about .. I have a legit copy tht if i continue to not play this game i may consider giving the cd key to one of our soggies as im not a great fan of the game (except the medic class, love spamming medkits and the shock paddles rock ).

Great ^^ I think i'll get BF2 the next days then... i love the helis, it's so much fun, once you mastered the controls (fortunately I've got a Joystick :P)

To write something not so OT: I voted maybe. If i should get some money out of nowhere the next days, i'll consider buying it... but ATM i have like.. 4€ for the rest of the month :> And if I'll have some money left, i'd rather donate it to SOG than buying a new game ^^ So... maybe, if i get the game someday ^^

You're such a pessimist, Wes. *smiles* At least we can try and see if it works. With SOG's name and place in SWAT4, we're attracting attention to it. There is hope. :sunny:

whos judging? at least a select few are showing interest.

like trin said all we can do is try, if i get as good at bf2 as you are at swat 4 then thats a bonus.

Voted yes, I haven't played it in a while though, so I'll be a bit.... rusty

Paul
08-11-08, 06:57 AM
well i played it yesterday and it was just like old times. :)

i played in a fairly empty server and was practicing flying the jet on the same map gordon was on. at first, i was nothing but crashing. but after a bit i got used to it again. :)

its gunna take some serious practice @ owning tc i think.

Yeah, count me in. :D. Bf2 is so much funner when played with lots of friends.
Bf2 can be a tactical game too alltho nowadays its just run and gun.

Paul
08-11-08, 11:30 AM
well fox thats why we are reviving it i do believe... I mean once gordon is satisfied, i dnt want to jump the gun or anything... U knw what im saying, once gordon has a squad hes happy with there isnt nothing stopping us from tactical training. I mean he will tell you more himself, im just speculating..lol, :p

itl be good to start with basic training then move ön from there i think. It isnt a game that tactically you just shoot, shoot... There is much more to
Consider with bf2, and for the
People who are interested, member or other. An sog server is a great place to start, we can leave all the rambo's and cheaters in the other many servers that there are. It is my belief that once we are up and running we will get some interest from the sensible gamers out there. As we do from swat4 and tss. :)

Then when this all materialises theres more fun and tactical gaming to be had by all. :)

Thats what i think ;)

I thank you all for giving your support. Moving forward we can/will make it happen as the sog team that we are.

Thanks again. ;)

What PG says is true. If you are clever enough, you can take out an entire squad by not jumping the gun. And if you are a medic you can take out the other squad and save your fellow squad members. There is a lot to be said about tactical and quick thinking in that game. And sometimes it will benefit you not to shoot at all, letting them pass your location and moving on. If they have Commander back-up, these are of course difficult feats, but, you can't give up even so. :sunny:

You know TriggerFox, just because everyone else don't have a tactical bone in them, doesn't mean we can't do our best as a tactical unit and bring the co-operation flare back to the game. ;)

Personally I'm not reinstalling before the server is up, as I don't need to go through that for nothing, so keep us all updated.

I saiz nuuu. :p

That's too bad Asakura-sama. The females seem to do quite well in that game (I would know, as I've talked to a few that kicked my behind so hard that when I landed I didn't know where I was). *grins* And we were quite cool about it all. *laughs* Don't worry I brought my revenge.

I don't think singing the same tune will help... As I know I'd go nuts. No playing instruments either. *laughs out loud* Just leave the delta waves behind before you sit down in front of the keyboard and we should all be good. :sunny:

Note: Delta waves (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_waves) is also called Slow Wave Sleep (SWS). It's stage 4 of the four NREM (non-rapid eye movement sleep) stage.

Count me in.
Played Bf2 a lot in the past, stopped half a year ago, due to heavy SWAT4-gaming.
I wanna point out that my focus will still be on SWAT4/TSS.
On the other side, i can imagine how much fun it was, and how much i loved Battlefield 2.
There´s a 2nd player i´d like to bring in then, who´s not a SOG member, maybe we can find a way there.

Let´s frag ;)
