For the past few days I have been experiencing problems when trying to view the main page and forums.

The whole site is slow to navigate along with numerous error pages (database error's) and 404's.

Is this a known problem?.

I got same problems as Pyros. I wanted to report this issue as well, but I wasn't able to reach this forums section. >.<;

I got same problems as Pyros. I wanted to report this issue as well, but I wasn't able to reach this forums section. >.<;

It took me 5mins to nav 3 pages lol.

I'm guessing the site is hosted on a shared server rack as opposed to its own which can work out a lot more expensive.
If other sites hosted on the same shared rack are in high usage then everyone else suffers for it... I know because my site is the same.

You get what you pay for in terms of web hosting.

Im not sure... I have been experiencing a very slow forum recently also. All i can assume is it is a result of a modification using bandwith but im not sure what. Im hoping Gazza can possibly shed some light on the situation also but personally I think it is a problem where the site is using more bandwith causing slow response & timeouts.

However, the good news is; we will be moving the site to another server soon with better specs and more allowances for site space hopefully covering this issue too. But the bad news; the site will be down while the transfer is in progress :(

Anyway thanks for reporting & will research into this

Matt

EDIT: & yes that is also a possibility Pyros ;)

I havent seen any problems in the past (i usually log in at all times of day) but not today. Its probably more to do with shared processor than shared bandwidth. If the site is moving then that will fix it.
