Hello Sog-Team,

Today i was automatically banned from your SWAT server without explanation. I noticed you have a server bot, which has mistaken me for someone else who plays under the name of "Nova" on your servers. I think my brother has played SWAT before, but i don't think he’s ever played it online, so it's unlikely that hes caused problems on your servers, and as i said, i think the bot has mistaken me for another person.

I went on your Server Database, and i i found the player under "Nova", but his/hers IP address is different to mine, which is 192.168.9.2. If it's not too much to ask, would you mind un-banning me from your servers? There aren't many good Co-Op servers on SWAT, and i'd hate to be missing the only ones available to me on the Internet.

Firstly, i'm not even with NTL, and secondly my address is 192.168.9.2 according to my PC.

Those people on your server are not me... if you want, you can closely observe my actions on your servers if you do unban me. I don't mind, i'm not going to cause any trouble intentionally... i promise you that... and i dont ever brake my promises - i'm serious. According to that topic I linked, that person was banned some time ago anyway.

I know that its difficult to run servers on any type of game, especially something like SWAT. I've been part of another clan, a Halo clan, in the past ( }CoG{ ), and i realise the problems a host can encounter from other users. As i said, my brother has played SWAT a few times i believe, but i doubt he'll do something like that anyway.

Please at least give me a chance to prove myself... i know its a lot to ask for, but i can assure you i'm not one of those individuals.

This is only your local IP adress, has nothing to do with the one banned =)

sry you were banned for SOG rules violation and its global ban, also instead of normal appeal you are not telling the truth but want to be unbanned as other person

Are you sure that was not you on the servers? You can find your IP that allows you to get online by going here www.whatismyip.com to see that IP is yours. I have unbanned you from the site for now, if you can actually PROVE that YOU was NOT the violator on our servers, or using other names to try and fool us then you can be unbanned from the other coop servers. Only if you have proof. You have 48hrs then you'll be banned again if no proof is shown.

Our admin bot is extremely efficient and reliable. The way it has been coded will result in bans only made when you exactly match the player reported, and it doesnt work on your name match. If that were the case there would be many more appeal requests here.

There is no doubt about it, you are the player in the report and hence rather than deny the facts, admit to them, maybe bring yourself to apologise or offer some sort of explanation to the offenses, and then we can go from there.

Well, what can i say? My IP address does fit the one you have linked me - as someone mentioned before, it appears that I was referring to my local address, rather than the one that shows up in the database. It was this computer that the ban and violations were made on.

However, i can't say it was myself who committed those violations on your good servers. I can understand how this must look, but I think it really was my brother - an excuse as bad as "my dog ate my homework". Unfortunately though, I can't offer anything else... except to say the problem will definitely not happen again. I've prohibited anyone from going on this computer now, so no one should cause the same problems as last time. I will certainly not cause any problems on your servers... the fact that I've had all these troubles now will deter me from even thinking about it.

On a final note... i won't be surprised if you do ban me from this website and the servers. I can easily understand why - in fact, if I was in your shoes, I'd have banned straight away. It's not as if you have any good reason to unban me or as if you're under any duress to even risk my IP being on your servers. As i mentioned in an earlier post, i do promise to uphold your rules and regulations on your servers, whether I am under this IP or not - I can't stress that anymore.

For what its worth, thank you for at least giving me the chance to explain myself on your website and i apologise for any inconvenience my topic has caused you all. I wish your clan all the best for the future.
